70 Chapter 70

A powerful voice sounded from Arin's side of the battlefield. The voice belonged to Captain Hans Ignocia, the old man had a very serious face that showed high severity.

"My first subordinates…"

'I wish you well…'

Percival sad a small sentence and finished it in his mind as June and himself went to the side of the tier 2 mages, to join them.

"Mountain and Louis, you will be A and B respectively as your call signs from now on, you two will be in the front of our formation."

Grey started to give out some information of his plans.

"Meyer you will be C and I will be D, us two will be in the middle of the formation. Hart and Whitlock you two will be at the rear, you will E and F respectively."

"Ah Grey…"

Alice was about to say something about her position in the formation, but she could not finish as every other person was already in the position for a six person formation.

Thus she could only go and be at the rear with Grant, the people were only separated by 0.40 cm thus their formation was very tight and only giving the minimum space to manuvoeur.

"I will be calling the direction of our movement based on the cardinal directions. But I will need certain accuracy on certain directions, at that time I will call out the actual number based on degrees. In times I will omit the degree, just concentrate on the number."

Grey paused to think if he forgot something else that might prove critical.

"Move out, North direction at running speed."

The small team of 6 moved out in that direction, it was not only them, hundreds of people from the Right Wing were also going in that direction to meet the forces from Ruhen.

"Give me 30% of your magic crystals."

A few seconds after they started their movement, Grey gave out an order to the team.

When the people heard the order, they all had hesitation, as they knew the importance of magic crystals, but the length of their hesitation differed.

Bon only hesitated for 0.1 seconds when he heard and understood the order whilst Sharon and Ilse hesitated for 0.5 seconds before taking out the magic crystals and gave them to Grey.

"What did you say you wanted? Grey you know those crystals are important when we want to quickly regain our mana."

Grey did not even look at Alice as she complained.

Alice just looked at Bon, Sharon and Ilse as they gave off 30% of their magic crystals.

Grant had hesitated for 5 seconds before doing the same, Alice looked at her Noble counterpart in incomprehensibility, before doing the same after a full 15 seconds of thinking.

BOOOM!! BOOM!!

"Ahh…!!"

"Kill those dogs from Arin for what they made us do!"

"We must avenge those who died."

The sounds of battle could be heard as the fights started.

'The battle at the centre has already started, the Right Wing will make contact in a few seconds, I cannot waste time.'

Grey internally commented as the veterans of the Right Wing who were at the front would be meeting the forces from Ruhen, and the Right Wing would then join the battle.

'With these magic crystals it should possible to keep a control over the heavy consumption of mana that I will have use in order to make this work.'

As the battle was about to start in the Right Wing, Grey closed his eyes.

Grey calmed down his mind and allowed himself to return to his logical and rational self. The experience with the Death Special affinity tier 4 mage had destabilised his mind.

No person said anything as Grey calmed himself.

It was only after 15 seconds that he open his eyes, that was accompanied with a release of Light affinity mana that Sharon felt for a fraction of a time before she could feel nothing any more.

That prompted Sharon to glance at Grey who was behind her, she was the only person who could use Light affinity in the team.

Behind her she saw a man who she could not say was handsome especially when compared to the to the male who was next to him, his grey hair stood out with his young face.

At this point this young person had a calm and serious face, she could not understand what spell he had just casted, but considering his serious face, it must be important.

BOOOOM!! BOOM!!

"Be careful of the mages, don't face them if you don't want to die!!!"

"Agh!! I don't want to die!!"

"I have not done anything to prove them wrong!!"

Sharon's thought process was cut short as the front mages started to fight the mages from Ruhen, the sounds of death throes were very prominent.

'The battle starts. It must be the tier 3 mages fighting in the north east direction.'

BOOM!

"Argh!!"

"Change direction! North west direction!"

Grey had to start shouting because the noise of the battlefield was already high.

Grey and the other members of the team could see the enemy tier 1 and tier 2 mages from Ruhen.

Every person had the same thoughts as they saw the mages from Ruhen, it did not take long or the battle to get very chaotic, it was at this point that Grey started to use his plan.

"B, use [Raging Water Shield] towards 70!"

Ilse immediately used tier 1 spell [Raging Water Shield] in the direction that Grey said which was to the North East to their position.

Whilst Ilse was launching that spell, Grey casted tier 1 spell [Forceful Gale Shield] in the same direction at the same time.

The two spells were launched at the same time at the same direction, the spells immediately combined to form a combined spell, [Stormy Oceans Barrier] that was immediately hit by multiple tier 1 spells.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

"D, what was that?!"

Ilse asked in shock.

Before the people could understand what had just happened and Grey did not give it them.

"C, use [Miasma Fog] towards 70!"

Bon did not hesitate to use the tier 1 spell, whilst Grey casted tier 1 spell, [Cutting Gale Blast], in the same direction.

BOOM!! BOOM!!

"Ahh!!"

"Be careful! It is darkness affinity, it will have a decay ability!!"

There was a big shout as [Corrosion Whirlwind blades] cut apart several people in the 70 degree direction, the spell was a combined from the two spells launched by Bon and Grey.

The people in the team of 6 were shocked that Grey was able to pick up the attacks that targeted them in the chaotic battlefield.

"A, use [Light Shower] towards 185!"

As Sharon casted that spell, Grey casted [Myriad Burning Field] in that direction as well.

In that direction there was a team of tier 1 mages from Ruhen who were fighting other mages from Arin and were not paying attention and were killed by [Myriad Scorcher Realm], that completely burnt everything in a large area.

The people in the team finally understood what Grey wanted to do, they continued like this, defending and attacking with tier 1 combination spells, that gave them some safety amongst the tier 1 mages.

Though the team members were wondering how Grey could anticipate and keep track what was happening around them. Though they saw that Grey was using a large number of magic crystals.

But people like them stand out in a large battlefield where other tier 1 mages are struggling for their lives.

"E, [Raving Water Chains] towards 200!!!"

Grey voice sounded more serious as he turned in that direction.

However things did not go well, Grey had forgotten who he was ordering as Grant hesitated to fire off the required spell.

That messed up the set up that had been working, because time was wasted.

Grey did not waste time to wait for the hesitating Grant and cancelled the spell that he wanted to pair with Grant's and casted tier 1 combination spell [Bright Burning Prison] in that direction.

BOOOM!! BOOM!!

"D we are in trouble!!"

Sharon shouted as Ilse and herself defended against spells from Ruhen's tier 1 mages, without Grey's orders the team was put in disarray.

The set up was messed up, Grey could not focus on the tier 1 mages that Ilse and Sharon were defending against with Bon firing towards.

Grey felt it was important to deal with the threat coming from the 200 degree direction.

"Change position to the West at full running speed!!"

As Grey said that he casted tier 1 combination spell [Crimson Blaze Bloom] to the team that was attacking Sharon and Ilse. That would force them to retreat to give them a chance to run away.

"AHH! IT BURNS!! IT BURNS!!"

The other members of Grey's team watched in shock as a single spell killed two members of the enemies, the flames were that hot such that they turned into plasma.

Grey had to take out extra magic crystals to refill his mana as his mana depleted much faster after using two combination spells consecutively.

A few seconds later after they ran, a tier 2 mage from Ruhen arrived in their previous position.

The female mage had some scorch marks on her uniform, she searched the battlefield for the tier 1 mage team that had entrapped her in that prison.

She did not find them in the chaotic battlefield, in annoyance she fired off a tier 2 combination spell [Cutting Whirlwind Blizzard] at another tier 1 mage team from Arin.

Those tier 1 mages did not even have a chance to scream as they were frozen and cut by powerful winds.

Grey looked at Grant with a calm face, he was annoyed by his mistake at giving such an important order to this kind of person.

"I would like to apologise for my blunder."

"C, use [High Pressure Water Cannon] towards 273."

Grey did not respond to his apology he just gave further orders as they continued their set up.
