Commander Wright was looking in the direction of Edward's Crevasse as he spoke, the man had a smile on his face that showed his handsome face, commander Alexandria Wells looked behind her in the direction of the battle of the main armies.
The two commanders were several kilometres to the position the armies were fighting in, but that did not prevent the two commanders from being able to observe the situation that is currently happening there. The forces of Arin were retreating from the mining camp due to a breach in the wall of fortifications.
The awareness of a mage in tier 4 could reach the kilometres in ranges thus the two commanders were able to see what was happening.
The look in commander Wells did not change, even though she understood that she had lost but she would not give commander Wright the satisfaction by showing her emotions that were currently raging inside her.
Commander Wells might be keeping a straight face in the face of defeat but, commander Wright was brightly smiling, he knew that she would be feeling angry and frustrated in her loss.
"I will concede defeat on this occasion Wright, but don't get comfortable, by the time we meet again in battle your special battalion will no longer be special."
Commander Wright did not respond to her statement, he just kept smiling at her. Commander Wells immediately took off in the direction the forces of Arin retreated in. As she left, Major Wright went back to the ground as his mana was almost finished with that battle that raged for hours, he could not immediately re-join his forces.
'Darkness and Ice elements are not good to fight against for long battles.'
Major Ken Wright thought to himself as he lifted his shirt to observe the dark spots in his skin, there was erosion on these dark spots.
The dark spots were created by the penetration of darkness elements due to long exposure. The Ice helped these darkness elements by being a carrier to enter the body of commander Wright in a condition similar to frostbite.
'His Majesty should be able to fix this condition very easily.'
Major Ken Wright thought to himself as he started to accumulate mana as he slowed the erosion of the darkness elements. Major Wright was lucky to have the Cunning King as someone who is a tier 7 life special affinity holder.
Commander Wright was not the only one with dangerous hidden effects due to the battle.
Major Alexandria Wells was suffering from poisoning, she got poisoned from breathing the fumes created by the lava magic that commander Wright used against her. Substances like Sulphur and other poisonous substances can be found in high quantities in lava and magma, and the commander breathed these substances in large amounts.
'That fellow's magic has such a side effect…Next time I need to prepare, if there will be next time…'

As commander Wells was heading towards her forces, she was already having difficulties breathing as if someone was messing with her lungs. Commander Wells managed to reach her forces with such a condition.
As she observed her forces retreat, there was some sadness hidden in her eyes, but she would not show such emotions to her subordinates.
"Commander!"
That was Captain Ignocia that welcomed the Major as the forces were retreating.
Commander Wells remembered this old Captain, he was one of the tier 3 Captains under her, they had not talked before, she just nodded in acknowledgement.
"Commander I gave the order to retreat. I am ready to face the consequences when we get back."
"We will all take responsibility Captain…"
COUGH! COUGH! COUGH!
Before she could finish she started to have another coughing fit with some blood coming out of her mouth.
"Medic!"
'The fight with the enemy commander must have been difficult.'
Captain Ignocia was quick to stop the issue at hand, the man was very experienced so he could immediately see.
As the forces of Arin were entering the interior of the Arin Kingdom, the neighbouring kingdoms found out about Arin's defeat in Edward's Crevasse in the Dralia Mountain Range.
Inside the throne room of the royal palace in the capital city of the Kingdom of Arin, Arin City, the Tired King Klaus Stefan Arin was listening to the report of the war. Inside the throne room there were many people from the nobles, to the military and other humans who were involved in the financing of this war.
"…A Captain thus decided that is was better to order a general retreat to prevent further losses of our forces."
The person giving the report was the military general, General Karl Schneider. The Tired King listened without having a change in facial expression.
"Who is this Captain?"
The Tired King asked with a deep voice, there was a nervous air in the throne room when the Tired King asked the question.
"A Captain Hans Ignocia"
General Schneider did not stop answering the King.
"A war veteran of the previous war with Rawyth with a tier 2 talent in magic, the Captain was fortunate enough to exchange merits to get a tier 3 talent increasing treasure, and thus reach tier 3."
The General Schneider continued.
The air was impregnated with tension as the General Schneider was explaining, people though the Captain would get punished for making such an order without being given prior orders by military command.
"Who was the commander of the on field troops?"
The Tired King did not make any comments about the Captain but asked a different question.
"The commander was Major Alexandria Wells, a very talented mage in the casting of Ice and Darkness magic. The Major is considered to be a great talent in military affairs, she is currently hospitalised here in the capital due to heavy poisoning. The Major was poisoned due to the effects of the magic of the enemy commander, Major Ken Wright."
The Tired King listened to all the information without interrupting.
"You will reward Captain Hans Ignocia with a tier 4 talent increasing treasure for having the ability to make difficult decisions in the face of adversity."
There was a collective gasp in the throne room, this was because of the rarity of tier 4 treasures. The Tired King might be tired but he still very sane and understood that merit should be given to those who deserve it, and he believed Captain Hans Ignocia did.
"Yes Your Majesty."
Answered General Schneider with a smile on his face.
