103 Chapter 103

"Kohler is down!"

Ilse shouted with a tremble in her voice, though her reporting was not necessary as the whole team could see the aftermath of Abe Kohler exploding himself.

The ones who were caught in the explosion were the rear team, Team Mia.

'Damn! Two more are dead.'

Team leader Mia's fingers were digging to her flesh due her subconscious use of a lot of strength as she clenched her hands in fists.

"Lt Crawford, the Arinese are serious about protecting Grey, if you don't help the us, we will suffer heavy casualties before we even capture Grey Gram!"

The rear team leader, team leader Mia shouted with hate all over her face, her team had just lost more people due to Kohler's self explosion.

She wanted Francesca to take an active role in the fighting, have her experience losing comrades as well.

"GO!"

Francesca did not answer her by useless words, her team got closer to Team Arin.

'You are finally close, Francesca Crawford.'

Qila had her face full of unrestrained hate.

"Change team, focus on her team!"

As she said that, what Grey would call multiple black lighting dragons were summoned around her and were surrounding her like some sort of dragon queen.

'I won't let you get away have a taste of my family's treasured spell! [Destructive Black Thunder Leviathans]!'

"INCOMING!"

ROARR! ROARR! ROARR!

The lighting dragons all roared as Qila focused all of them towards Francesca's team.

"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME LITTLE GIRL! DON'T THINK SINCE YOU HAVE GREY'S AFFECTION YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT!"

BOOOMM! BOOOMM! BOOOM!

Giant explosions went off as the black lighting dragons exploded with Francesca's response which turned out to be giant black flaming lions.

Even though Francesca managed to prevent massive losses in her team, some members were not able to make, but as long as the most important ones stayed alive, Francesca did not mind.

While the people looked in awe at the destruction brought forward by the two tier 2 combination spells, Sophia's attention was only on Grey.

It seemed that she had heard Francesca rage at Qila, she now finally understood that Grey and Qila had a special relationship and that made her heart ache.

"It's alright Sophia. I always told you he was a jerk."

Sophia could only blankly nod back to Cassandra's words.

"Keep moving…"

"Ah…"

Before Qila could say that the team should move forward, every person turned to Cassandra who was looking at her chest.

The girl was turning pale very quickly and that was because she had an earth spike running through her chest.

The spike seemed to have shot out from the ground.

"Be careful of trap magic!"

Qila looked around, it did not make sense that a magic trap was not seen until it was too late, they were elites from Arin, there is no way there would miss a trap.

"Lt Stein, I believe the enemy has a trap specialist!"

Whilst Sophia was still trying to understand what had just happened, the rest of the team had already accepted that Cassandra was dead and were already thinking of counter measures.

"Lt Stein, let me do it."

Grey offered to help, any of his domain spells could help pick up foreign mana left on the ground. That could help show which points are trapped and help avoid those places.

"Cassie… Cassie… Don't leave me… Grey… He… Does not want… Me… Please don't leave me…"

"I… Sorry… Cough… Survive… Confess…Your… Love… To… Jerk…"

Blood was leaking through Cassandra lips, as she said her last words…

"FUCK! Defence!"

The team did not get to understand what Cassandra wanted to say as they heard Grey shout for a defence formation.

Grey casted a triple layer barrier in front of the team, when the rest of the team saw him doing that, they knew they could not dilly dally as every person had some form of protection.

They were aware that what could make Grey put up defences was a serious threat, thus they followed suit.

"Lt Crawford! I am doing it! He discovered my work!"

"Go for it Oliver!"

BBBOOOOMMM!!!

With the location of the Arinese team as the centre, the whole land was totally erased by fire, wind and earth type magic.

It looked grand when viewed from the atmosphere, land cracking, burning and getting cut by magic that had been laid before looked both scary and spectacular.

Thud!

"Good job Oliver."

Francesca put her hand on Oliver's shoulder who was down on his knees with exhaustion, having all of trap magic go out in one go had exhausted the Ruhenese Trap Specialist.

"Ah… Cough… Cough…"

Oliver and the Ruhenese did not get to celebrate as Oliver held his neck and started to heavily cough.

Oliver was holding on to his neck which was heavily bleeding, it seemed as if a fine silent blade had come out of nowhere and slit his throat making sure he could not be saved.

"Cough… Cough… I got revenge… For you Cassie…"

Sophia looked a small distance where they had left Cassandra's dead body.

The body must have been ravaged by the release of the traps laid around and totally destroyed, but that did not prevent Sophia from searching for it.

Team Arin was looking worse for ware, the explosion of the traps had made them use a lot of mana, they were staring to look more rugged as their uniform got destroyed.

"Cough… Cough… We continue… Good job for the heads up Grey… You too John... That was some awesome defence..."

"October, good job for killing the trap specialist... I did not know you knew [Silent Killing Blade]."

Lt Franzel looked at the last tier 1 mage from his team and commended her job well down.

It could be him next, as the tier 1 mages die off, the ones who will be next will obviously be the tier 2 mages, thus Lt Franzel was reminding himself of his convictions as he talked to Sophia.

Grey looked around, they had managed to kill some members of the Ruhenese mages, but they still are outnumbered, four tier 1 mages are dead from their side, and one is completely unconscious.

They had yet to lose a tier 2 mage, and it was only a matter of time before they do, when that happens, the pressure would increase by a lot.

Grey had a resolute face, even as things get difficult, he would not let himself get captured or killed.

'I will survive.'

As he thought that mana raged in his body, as his buff robe came back on his body and immediately after that, Grey summoned a giant white fireball.

When everyone thought Grey was about to launch the fireball on to the Ruhenese, the fireball shot out a beam of white light that shined on the Francesca's team.

It seemed as if the whole fireball was made to shoot out the white beam of light.

However how could an elite team be easily be killed, defences were quickly put up to stop what was assumed to be a death ray of some sorts, and those defences seemed to work.

"AGHHHH! MURRAY HELP! IT BURNS! EVERYWHERE"

The Ruhenese might have thought that they prevented the white light, but the screams of Gemma as the girl writhed on the ground whilst scratching her body shocked every person.

"AGHHH! GEMMA! STAY STRONG! I AM SURE IT WAS GREY WHO DID SOMEHTING."

It was not only Gemma who was screaming in pain, her sibling Murray seemed to be in experiencing the same pain.

The Ruhenese could not make sense with what was happening, thus they could only look as the two siblings screamed.

"NOW!"

The noisy screaming of the siblings gave Team Arin the opportunity to move forward, reattacking team Byron which had taken the highest damage since the fighting started.

'[Darkness Imbalance] seems to work very well on death special affinity holders.'

"Brace!"

The white sphere that was flouting on top of Grey's head was launched towards team Graze that always seemed to easily get distracted.

Even though the spell seemed to have been made to shoot out the white beam, it seemed as the fireball could still be used as an attack spell.

"GRAZE YOU IDIOT! WHY DO YO ALWAYS GET DISTRACTED!"

BBOOOMMM!!

Waves of white flames burnt everything in their way, the fact that Grey had summoned his buff robe made his magic super powerful at tier 1, anything the white flames touched turned to ashes.

"Good job Grey! Let me show them that us tier 2 mages are not slouches letting the young ones do the most heavy lifting!"

Grey and team Arin did not have enough time to say anything to June as she broke formation and launched [Lighting Tempest Assault] to try and finish Graze off.

Giant lightning bolts made out of lightning and fire rained down like a torrential downpour targeting Graze and his last members.

BOOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The view was apocalyptic as it was beautiful.

"CRAWFORD! TAKE HER DOWN!"
