Nathan nodded like it was no big deal but that shocked the elf and beastman girl even more. Stella just nodded like it was something that should be expected from Nathan.

Both were surprised for a good reason. Collision Training was publically known as the most dangerous training method even though it was the fastest. No one in their right minds used t casually. The fact that Nathan was doing it as normal training surprised both girls.

'Is he doing it to become a true member of the Guri clan? But he has purple grade talent! He is bound for greatness and the clan would surely accept him no matter what his birth is like.'

'He was doing it so casually in the carriage. I heard that most others have to drug themselves and be in isolation to even attempt to use the method with the best chances of success.'

Both girls had their won speculations but neither voiced them. They thought that Nathan would be unwilling to share it with them if they asked so they could only try and come up with different reasons why.

"Anyway... what can I expect from the Academy? My aunt went there but she did not tell me much. Just that the school suited my personality and style."

The two girls came out of their stupor and looked at Nathan with complex looks on their faces. It was not that they could not share but they did not know where to start. The Academy was very different than most.

"The Academy works with a clan, faction, and individual ranking system. Everyone is divided into one of 5 factions when they enter the school. Students are able to choose their faction if they have high enough talent, otherwise, they will be assigned randomly to make sure the numbers even out.

Factions are used to create competition between everyone while also making loyalty as well. The individual rankings already make the academy very competitive but adding factions makes sure that the students do not try too many underhand methods to deal with each other.

Faction ranking determines things like dorms and meal plans. The better the faction ranking, the better quality of what I listed just now.

Clans are similar to factions except they are within factions. This is to further divide the factions while also giving students a chance to form their own groups. This means you don't really have to interact with those you don't like too much. Clans can only have up to 30 students though.

Clan ranking only determines the quality of training rooms within the faction. This is not just combating practice fields but also alchemy rooms, blacksmithing rooms, and various other profession related rooms that are stocked monthly.

There are 3 tiers of training rooms for every faction rank. 1st tier makes up only the strongest clan. 2nd tier is the next 4 after that. 3rd Tier is any that remains. Anyone who is not part of a clan is automatically in the 3rd tier.

The better the faction ranking, the better training rooms too. Even a 3rd tier training room of the 2nd ranked faction is equal to the first tier training room of the 3rd ranked faction. This is why clan competition is so strict and fierce.

Finally are individual rankings. These are divided by years. 1st years will not be ranked alongside the second years in individual ranks. These ranks determine what classes a person can take the next year.

Every year, there are over 3,000 students that join. This means that during the 6 years, there are about 20,000 students in total on campus every year.

Rankings are determined by points gained in 3 ways.

1st are classes. By performing well in classes, a person gets points for themselves, their clan, and their faction. These earn the least amount of points for individuals.

2nd are duels. By challenging other individuals or groups to duels, a person is able to wager points for rankings. This is mainly used by individuals who are having disputes or by clans of the same faction who are having a disagreement.

Lastly are the semester tournaments. There is 1 tournament every semester for individual rankings for each year. The better the individual rank, the better the rank for the entire faction and clan that person is a part of," explained the dark elf.

She had said it all so fast that she took out a bottle of water to drink and ease her dry throat. The bunny beastman took over the rest of the explanation.

"Besides that, there are also plenty of other things to do. The Imperial Academy has classes that cover plenty of subjects. From studying the art of war to violin classes to bladesmithing. There are so many different paths that a person can take and they can decide their own fate.

Speaking of fate and clans, ours is ranked 2nd in our faction. As for fate, it seems like our war princess gets along with you very well. We would like to invite you into our clan to become one of us.

We had 3 members graduate last year and could use some fresh blood. With your potential, we would love to have you become one of us."

Nathan looked at the pair who had expectant but hesitant eyes before he looked at the girl who eyes said that he would die a thousand times over if he decided to decline their offer.
