Alex, Marco, and Kate checked the tiger's body and stabbed it a few times to confirm it was dead while Rae went to check on Nathan.

When she arrived before him, he was covered in leaves, mud, and blood. After cleaning him up a bit, she was happily surprised to see that most of the blood belonged to the tiger. Although he did end up breaking one of his arms when he was flung away, it was better than most of the injuries that could have been expected from such a small body being flung by a 2-meter tall Hex Tiger.

"Kate, prepare the tiger to be transported. Marco and Alex, go hunt down a few more beasts so that we can meet our quota.

There are bound to be a few stupid ones who were hoping to eat us or the tiger when one side lost and this tiger seems to be alone. Most likely, its pack is hunting the rest of the hunting teams and this guy was just a stray."

The 3 obeyed her commands while she bandaged up Nathan. She had to clean the dirt away from his arm before she used bandages to wrap it and some more as well as a splint to secure it.

By the time she was done, Marco and Alex were still hunting while Kate had yet to finish skinning the tiger. She looked at the forest where the pair had run off to hunt before looking back at Nathan while chewing on her lip.

Nathan could tell what she was thinking and made the decision for her. He was too badly injured and would be fine as long as he did not move around too much.

"You can go with the other pair to make sure they are alright. Kate is here and the tiger is already dead so you don't need to worry about me."

Rae looked at Nathan and was puzzled.

'This was not something a 4-year-old should say when they are injured. He should be bawling his eyes out and begging for his parents. He also should not be this perceptive and help me when I am having a tough time.

Hell, he shouldn't have attacked a tiger. And with such accuracy and determination too. It was like his blade did not waver and he was striking exactly where he knew would be the most fatal from his angle of attack. None of this is something a normal child should do.

But no matter what reason, he truly did save me and my team.'

Rae gave it a few more moments of thought before she gave Nathan a small grateful smile. She then looked toward Kate before saying

"I'm going to go check on Marco and Alex. You are in charge of the area and need to make sure Nathan is safe. Got it?"

"Got it!" replied Kate who showed Nathan a small, reassuring smile like he was not a child who just murdered a tiger.

Hearing that the order was confirmed, Rae picked up her bow and ran off into the forest to ensure that the pair was ok.

With Kate busy carving up the tiger and the other 3 gone, Nathan had a chance to check on his body. He was not worried about the physical wounds but he felt something inside of him... change when he killed the tiger.

He tried to look all over his body but there were no physical changes that he could see. He pressed down on parts of his body but besides his injuries, he felt that nothing was out of place.

'This is weird. It might be one of those weird things to deal with in this world. I will have to ask Mother what is going on when she comes back.;

Nathan could only give up on checking for what happened to him and hope that his mother had some answers for him. Although he would not have minded asking his father, his mother was clearly more knowledgeable and it was more likely that she would have the correct answer.

Within 20 minutes, the other 3 had returned and Kate had long been done with the tiger. With everyone ready, Kate and Nathan took over some of the prey that the group brought back so that Marco and Alex could carry the tiger.

Even though it was powerful and dangerous, it would still only count as one of the beasts they needed. But the meat, fur, bones, claws, teeth, and penis were all very valuable and could be sold for a large amount of money. Only a fool would leave a gold mine like that behind.

After dragging all the bodies back to the wagon, the horse pulled it back to the main camp. But the camp was currently in chaos. There were many people who were seeking medical treatment and even a few who had died.

When the group of 4 asked what had happened, Rae's guess was confirmed. The rest of the pack had attacked the main group of the hunting party. They were able to kill off about 9 of them while the remaining 6 retreated under the Alpha's urging.

Even though they retreated, they still caused quite a mess among the forces. In the initial assault, almost 20 individuals were killed by ambush attacks that the tigers are famous for. After the first 20 were killed, the rest of the forces, as well as the supervisors, gathered together to fight off the Hex Tigers.

With great effort, they were scared off but not before another 15 were confirmed dead with most of the other militia members having various degrees of injury. This proved the strength of the Hex Tigers as well as the 3RS battle prowess for being able to fight off a tiger on their own for such a long time before having Nathan finish it.
