[ 12 ] Squirrel

The next day, we moved all the things inside the new house.

It was only last afternoon that we finished shifting. We had lunch together because that friendly guy insisted, and Lucas had agreed. 

Me and that rude Alpha guy didn't get time to reject this unnecessary friendly meeting.

So we could only shut up, and ate in silence. Louise and the friendly guy cheated though.

After lunch, I paid them their wages: 5 gold coins, neither too high nor too low.

I and Lucas brought some new furniture to replace the old ones, but it was estimated that it would only reach us after some days.

I went to a Magical Robe clothing store. Lucas's transfer schooling only expended the academic fee, so he had to buy other things by himself.

Although dorms, food, and some other living stuff were given by the Magic Academy, clothes in my school, potion ingredients, and books like that had to be purchased by the student.

There is a special street in the middle of the market where they sell high-class magical items, though they're quite expensive for most people.

I thought about it and went to buy things in a normal magical item store that has a good reputation. It was not that hard to find. 

If a store is good, ask a regular customer and a person who recently bought things from it. It may look a little hard, but it really isn't.

After buying things, me and Lucas started to head towards home. Whoever we were walking with, a person in a black hood bumped into Lucas.

"I-I..sorry!" The person said before running away that it was the voice of a girl. 

I frowned in dissatisfaction but didn't follow.

I already have a lot of items in hand and just can't throw things on the street to chase some people.

I helped Lucas pick up the things from the ground and started to walk again. While going towards our new house, I noticed some people were asking about an Omega woman.

They didn't ask us, and we didn't go up to them just to say anything about a strange woman. We ignored them because it's not our business whether they find any women or not.

And neither are we playing some drama where some progrator solves people.

We went home without finding any strange phenomena after that. 

Everything went like this: I cooked and did some household chores while Lucas helped.

After eating dinner, Lucas went upstairs to unpack his new school items while I was downstairs washing dishes. When I was done washing the dishes, only the light in the kitchen was shining. Lucas had already closed the lights and fallen asleep.

Just as I was walking towards the stairs, I heard a rustle outside the window. I went near to check; it was... a squirrel.?

It was trying to climb inside but was unable to open the window. I opened the window and stretched out my hand towards it, but it showed its little claws, which were quite sharp.

It scratched me, but I ignored the little pain and grabbed the squirrel. It tried to break free but didn't succeed.

I went inside to find a suitable box to keep the squirrel in. It's resistance seems to be gradually fading. 'Must be tired' I thought. 

I found a suitable box for the squirrel but didn't just put it on. I checked the fridge and found some cookies for the squirrel to eat, it looked quite thin.

I put those cookies infront the squirrel, waiting for it to eat it.

Squirrel tried to resist the temptation of the cookies, but it seems it was too hungry to control itself. It hurriedly started to munch on the cookies. 

Surprisingly, it ate all of the cookies I gave it. It was not that big in size, but the appetite is quite big.

Poor thing must be very hungry to finish whole bowl of cookies.

It slowly fell asleep, after eating the food. I put it in a box, so it won't run away behind my back.

I picked up the box and went towards my room.

I put it on the bedside table and fell asleep.
