The Mage with an Existential Crisis (Hololive Fanfic)[Under Rewrite]

A story of old, wherein demons, magic, and all sorts of supernatural exists. A story that told about the truth of the world, uncovering its myths and mysteries. A story of an all powerful mage searching for his purpose in the vast world, searching, for a place to call home. A story where Hololive Idols are more than just idols. +----------------+ A/N: Yahallo! I have decided to post this here as well, since its what I'm currently writing upon. As for those who have read my previous books, whichever it is. I still haven't found a single ounce of motivation or ideas in my bones to continue them for now. I'll occassionally write on the drafts, but for now. I present you my latest work, I haven't seen much Hololive fanfics around, so I decided to make one. I don't own Hololive, the idols, or anything that may came along them. I only own my OC, and probably the plot(?). For those who are wondering if this is a harem or not. Big no. I can't write harems, as simple as that. Some Idols, or hololive girls might be a bit OOC/out of character since I'm not that good to perfectly imitate how they act. Hope you guys enjoy.

Enma's POV

The next morning we gathered at the living room to discuss our next course of action.

"Now that we know what we are facing with. We can come up with contingency plans and strategies to confront him." I spoke in a heavy tone as I sat at my own custom-made chair.

"We need to get to Atlantis first Enma-nii. I need to know if Artemis-nee is alright or if my people are alright."

I nodded to Gura's concerned words and suggestion, as getting to Atlantis is our first priority.

"Getting to Atlantis won't be easy. Especially if you are not an Atlantean like Gura. We need a ship, and sadly, Flying Dutchess was destroyed by Cthulhu last time."

Amelia pointed out a very known knowledge about Atlantis. Getting into Atlantis is hard, impossible to some even.

Atlantis is located at the very bottom of the deepest trench in the ocean, getting down there without a high-ranking Water Magician is suicide.

And it's not just the depth that will be hard to traverse, various kinds of sea monsters lurk around Atlantis surroundings, forming a natural defense line for it.

"Cthulhu destroying my Flying Dutchess might be part of his plan to delay us and allow him to recuperate."

Marine thought out loud and we all nodded at her conjunction. I glanced at Marine and we both smirked at each other.

"Sadly for him, destroying Flying Dutchess doesn't really matter much except for making Marine shipless and broke again."

I ignored Marine's indignant shout as I answered everyone's, except Marine's, questioning stare.

"Marine and I made a deal last time, you see, coming here to Feltiore years ago wasn't just to look for a place to hide. I also came here to make a unique ship for myself once I saw Marine's Flying Dutchess."

"Eh?! Why didn't you peko-tell us peko?" Pekora asked as Aqua nodded in agreement beside her.

I smiled sheepishly and looked away as I told them the reason.

"I... Forgot."

The sound of palms meeting the face echoed out as everyone facepalmed at my forgetfulness.

"Anyway, as I said, the ship is covered by now. What we need is a powerful Water Magician to surround the ship in breathable space and stop water from coming in."

The moment I said those words, everyone turned their heads to Aqua. I did so too only to find out she was looking at me in determination.

"Don't force yourself too much Aqua. There is nothing wrong if you can't do it." She shook her head at me.

"I've trained so hard just so that I can finally help you Master, and now that I know I'm strong enough and can be of help. I can't pass on this opportunity to do so. So please, let me help you."

I smiled fondly before nodding.

"Alright, but take care of yourself. If you can't take it anymore, switch with me."

Aqua smiled brightly and nodded her head vigorously, making her twin tails bounce up and down.

"Next to our agenda is the first thing I asked earlier, we need to plan how we will confront him this time." Everyone frowned and thought deeply to themselves as I did too.

"Uhm, everyone. I wonder if you can stall enough time for me to call in reinforcements from the Kingdom?"

I looked up and pondered about Suisei's proposal. Getting reinforcement will be a huge help if Atlantis's manpower is severely weakened. Plus, Cthulhu is bound to bring his cult this time with him.

"Alright, will you go now to go back to Eldefein, or do you have some way to contact them from afar?"

Sadly, Suisei shook her head and I can only sigh in understanding.

"Alright the sooner you travel your way back to Eldefein, the sooner the reinforcements can back up Atlantis."

"I will go now, good luck everyone. Please be careful. I will bring enough reinforcements to help stop Cthulhu's schemes."

Gura stood up from her seat and hugged Suisei's waist.

"Thank you for lending out a helping hand for my people." I can tell Suisei was shocked by Gura's sudden hug, but she hugged back nonetheless.

"As a Royal Knight, it is my duty to protect the people, and not just Eldefein's populace, its allies too, are people I have to protect."

"Nuff patriotic speeches. You should get going now Suisei." Amelia waved her hand at Suisei, and I chuckled as Suisei threw a toy axe at Amelia and hit her on the head.

"Ack, where did you get this anyway?"

"Somewhere..."

I watched as Suisei dashed towards the exit and left a trail of dust behind her.

"Now that is out of the way, stalling for time in order for the reinforcements to arrive is our main goal to defeat Cthulhu and his army."

I crossed my arms in front of me as I leaned back on my chair.

"I can use Pekodam to stall Cthulhu if he ever uses his true form again."

"I think Artemis-nee and I can activate one of Atlantis's runic arrays in order to redirect the sea monsters to Cthulhu's army."

"If we get there earlier than Cthulhu, I can set up some time traps around Atlantis to delay or lessen their numbers. I'm sure some exploding concoctions of mine can be of use this time."

I then looked at Marine who shrugged her shoulders at me.

"I don't have Flying Dutchess this time around. I have no powerful magicka abilities, you should know that."

I sighed in exasperation before telling her about Sea Bulwark's armaments.

"Wait, Sea Bulwark was blessed by my dad?!"

Gura asked in surprise, as I nodded calmly. She glared at me in the same way Pekora and Aqua glared at me earlier for not telling them I have a ship made for me.

I shrugged my shoulder in response as she probably already know that I will only tell her that I forgot about it.

"Alright, Marine will pilot Sea Bulwark to and give out the cover fire we need in case of some needs a breathing room, especially for you Pekora."

Pekora and Marine nodded in all seriousness before I stood up and gestured for Gura to come over.

She trudged her way towards me in confusion. I only shook my head before motioning over to the corner.

"Alright, Gura I know that Artemis forbid me and especially you from using it. But there might be a moment where you have to unleash it." Gura paled considerably as she looked up at me in uncertainty.

I gently patted her head as I know that she is worried that she might lose control again and attack me instead.

"Don't worry, I finally found a way to suppress it just in case you won't be able to control it. Plus! I believe in you Gura, if anyone can master this, it would be you and you alone."

I poked her forehead and she pouted right after. I can see the little tears smudging the corner of her eyes, to which I brushed away.

"You got this, it's just a contingency plan if anything ever goes south." She nodded in determination before sprinting back towards everyone else.

I smiled as they all discussed about what spells would they use, what strategies would work better under Gura's guidance. After all, she knows Atlantis's environment and surroundings more than anyone here.

I looked outside to stare at the cloudless azure skies. I know that a storm is coming. The question is, am I the storm or will it be Gura?

I shook my head to rid of those thoughts as I need to prepare my arsenal of spells this time.

I can't use Zinogre unless I want everyone to be electrocuted. However, I do have another summon that may or may not be able to fight well underwater. However, summoning her will take a huge toll on my body, and I can't allow myself to pass out under any circumstance with the upcoming confrontation.

I can only let go of the idea of summoning my familiars and opt for using more of my spells.

Fire Magicka is a no-brainer. It's heavily restricted underwater.

Lightning Magicka? Can't use any of it as of the moment due to the drawback of the lightning armor.

Earth Magicka might do me some justice.

Wind Magicka is a no-go as well, there is only so much wind underwater, and most of them are used to make us able to breathe.

Water Magicka is of course the best one to use underwater, that's only logical to do.

Temporal Magicka, I might have to resort to it once something irreparable by normal means happens, and I just hope none of those ever happens.

Then there is my Self-Made Magicka. I really need to come up with a name for that. But using that is also taxing towards my body, I can use it as a last resort or trump card.

I sighed and tilted my head to the side and grumbled. There is not much time left, the next morning, we are setting off for Atlantis.

I set my eyes upon the vast expanse of water just outside of Feltiore's shores.

'Atlantis, I'm coming home.'
