Rumour Has It

Mr. Gu shook his head, perplexed, "A rumor? About who? Bai?"
"Yes. Apparently, just last week, he was seen walking out of a hotel with Zexi Duan over there," Lay Ming nodded.
Lay Ming pointed to Zexi. That woman was his friend, and they both despised Bai, so they planned to ruin him together. She only hated him because he rejected her confession.
Talk about being petty.
"You know how Zexi has always liked Bai," Lay Ming sighed, "But to think they'd go to a hotel and mess around in broad daylight."
He cast a subtle glance at Bai.
"Are they unaware that if they are discovered, such a scandal could ruin the stock prices of their respective companies?"

"Is that so?" Mr. Gu raised an eyebrow in disbelief.
Lay Ming was a little agitated. He expected Mr. Gu to take the bait, but he was mistaken. Mr. Gu was not one to believe in rumours.
