Not Looking for a Partner
Previously:
"Oh right," she turned to face him, "I almost forgot to mention this."
He raised his eyebrow, "What is it?"
"It is about tomorrow night," she told him, clasping her hands in front of her, "Na asked me to join her and a few others on a mixer."
"A mixer!?" he gasped, shocked at the sudden statement.
"Yes," she nodded, taken aback by his reaction.
Was it wrong for her to go?
"I will leave with Na and the others," she added, "So, I won't be able to come back here with you."
"How will you get back here?" he grunted, crossing his arms.

Was he angry?
"Oh, I will take a cab," she answered, rubbing her neck at the sudden change in atmosphere.
She sensed that he was angry and upset that she was going to the mixer. Although, she was unsure why.
Was it because of her being kind of sick?
Was he scared that she would faint again like the last time?
