A Beast's Fangs

Staring intensely at the data given to him by Ethan's mother, Lucario reads over each file one by one.

[Noya Fruit Corporation is led by Vincent Noya. The internationally renowned fruit company plays a significant role in gun distribution in the desert areas of Africa.]

[Busy Bodies Academy is a private tutoring company that is led by Petra Renoldi. It does charity trips down in the struggling areas of Brazil where they offer tutoring sessions and relief aid to children in indigenous tribes, but it doubles as the latest up-an-coming human trafficking ring that could pose a high risk if it isn't controlled properly.]

[Meyling's Food Court is a nonprofit soup kitchen organization that is based and run by the local women in Xinjiang, but it is hugely sponsored by Brenda and Winston Johnson. The nonprofit itself isn't bad, but there are other highly influential Chinese businessmen who donate and sponsor other locations of the soup kitchen.]

Each of the three main folders consists of a never-ending collection of subfolders with subfolders regarding everyone of significance involved, locations, revenue, resources, warehouses, etc.

Lucario and Billy grimace as they come to realize that the Jeremy kid will be a bit difficult to deal with. His parents are in contact with Chinese businessmen who have access to extremely sensitive information and very dangerous weapons. It would be easy if they were just simply Congress Members, but they have their toes splashing in deeper water than expected.

"What should we do now?" Billy asks, taking a seat after a long period of standing behind Lucario. "It's not like we can tell the kid's parents to teach him better."

"He's staying in the academy's dorms, right?" Lucario questions while leaning back in his chair to stretch.

"As far as school records go, yes, he stays in the kindergarten dorms since his parents are in DC." Billy lifts up a couple sheets of paper and waves them in the air. "However, I had our security guys run a background check on Jeremy Johnson to see if he would be an actual threat to Lily while I had the tech team scan the harddrive. The kid attended the academy's preschool course and stayed in the preschool dorms as well. It appears that he stayed in the dorms Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, he gets picked up after school and flies out to DC to stay with his parents for the weekend. Sunday night, he flies back and returns to the dorms."

Lucario motions for Billy to hand him the papers to which Billy complies. "So you're implying that he might continue with this routine again?"

Billy nods his head as he sits on top of Lucario's desk. "We can assume that he'll return to this routine, but we won't know until Friday comes at the end of the week."

With a loud sigh, Lucario throws the sheets of papers onto his desk. "For now, let's just watch how this plays out. The kid hasn't done anything to Lily yet except some rude remarks." Lucario glances over at his computer one last time before his phone begins to ring. Checking to see who's calling, Lucario notices it comes from an unknown caller. "Who is this?" he asks after answering the phone.

"Your daughter is adorable, you know that?" says the voice on the other side. "It would be a shame if something were to happen to her."

"Who is this?" Lucario repeats as he lifts a note that he quickly wrote to Billy.

[Get me the tracking cord.]

Billy nods to confirm his job and swiftly leaves the room.

"It's nice to see that the beast finally has a little cub in his possession. How were you able to keep such an angelic looking child a secret for so long?"

"That's none of your concern. Who are you? What is it that you want? I don't like people wasting my time."

The voice on the other side pauses for a second before becoming serious. "My men have your daughter in their scopes. If you don't want her to die, I suggest you make a deal with me."

Lucario clenches his fists to keep him from instantly reacting. Soon after, Billy runs into the room and hurriedly connects the cord he brought with him to the computer then hands it to Lucario so that he can connect it to his phone. Lucario slides over so that Billy will have room to squeeze in next to him to use the computer.

"What is the deal you have in mind?" Lucario continues to question in order to keep the conversation going.

The voice laughs smugly as the person thinks that they have Lucario on their hook. "You killed a handful of my men when you took Mercury Outlets from me."

Billy throws a thumbs up to get Lucario's attention as soon as he is able to locate where the voice on the other side is hiding. Lucario rests his hand on the adjacent side of the desk and leans over Billy's shoulder trapping him in order to get a look at the caller's location.

"Mercury Outlets… Oh!~ You must be that wimp that's pretending to be the boss of the Wolfwear Clothing Warehouse. It's interesting to still see you in good health," Lucario mocks while he quickly writes and hands Billy another note.

[Send four guys to Lily's school and ten guys to that location. Make sure that they capture the men at the school alive. Don't kill or capture anyone at the location. Just have them do enough to scare them for now.]

Billy immediately follows through with his orders as soon as Lucario releases him. Meanwhile, Lucario begins his reign of verbal terror onto the caller.

"You know, Grant, they say that it's very dangerous to provoke a beast by messing with their children. That's basic knowledge."

The voice grunts as it realizes that he's been discovered. "Messing with a beast's child is the fastest way to provoke them in order to hunt them down. Beasts don't think logically when their children are in danger."

"Isn't that the most dangerous thing, though?" Lucario rebukes with a conceited grin on his face. "We beasts don't think logically when our children are in danger, which means that we will do anything to protect them. And I mean anything."

"You won't be able to act so high and mighty once you lose your daughter," the voice named Grant claims. "Once I kill her, you'll be nothing but an empty shell of a beast. But this is where the deal comes in."

"I'd like to see what kind of stupid ass shit you offer me," Lucario interrupts with a scoff.

"Give me back Mercury Outlets."

"... Is that it?"

"Of course that's not it!" shouts the voice in annoyed anger. "Promise your daughter to my son. They both attend kindergarten together, albeit, not in the same class. Isn't that fair?"

Lucario slowly stands from his desk as his blood begins to simmer. "I would never promise my daughter to anyone. Let alone to someone as weak as you and your pathetic family."

"But it's fair, though. You killed my men and took them away from me, so I'll take your precious daughter away from you. Isn't that better than killing her off? At least you'll still be able to see her alive for the next ten or so years before she marries my son."

"My daughter is the only heir of the Buenavista Family. She will be taking over once she comes of age. Your feeble son can't even compare to her, so my answer will remain as no."

The voice boastfully laughs after hearing Lucario's answer. "So you wish to have your daughter killed in front of everyone at school. That's fine." The pauses before giving orders to someone in the room to signal the men to kill Lily.

"What do you mean no one is responding?!" the voice on the other side questions.

"It seems like you're having a bit of trouble," Lucario pridefully comments as his anger dissipates after hearing the news. "Is killing my daughter off proving to be a bit difficult?"

While Lucario relishes in the voice's anger, Billy enters the room. "Lucario, the men who were sent to the school reported that the faculty has already taken care of the assassins."
