158 Who Is Lisa?

Elleard was silent when he heard Lisa's voice. There was longing in his chest. She sounded broken and sad. Was she present when Edward was murdered? Who could have done this to her? Why did Lisa think Elleard had anything to do with her husband's murder?

Elleard did want to kill Edward months ago when he found out that Lisa left him for the man. However, Xavier stopped him and gave him a reason to leave Lisa and her husband alone.

Their family was consolidating power and chasing after the people who killed their parents. They shouldn't attract other people's attention to them. So, with a heavy heart, Elleard tried to get rid of Lisa from his mind so he wouldn't be tempted to kill Edward.

It was really hard. He kept himself busy with work until finally he met Elena. Elleard suddenly got Lisa's replacement and slowly he could distance himself from the thought of that woman.
