I Am Not That Good, Elena...

"Did you bring it?" asked Elleard again. The expression on his face turned cold as if warning Rosa that he didn't like repeating his words.

Rosa Wang blinked her eyes and replied awkwardly, "I-I did, sir."

"Bring it here," said Elleard.

Rosa flicked her hand at an assistant. "Bring me the dress I kept in the blue box!"

The assistant walked to the end of the room and held up a large blue box. It contained a really special dress that Rosa and her team spent almost 8 months to make. Everything was made by hand and used the best materials. It was adorned with hundreds of Swarovski crystals.

Elena looked confused when Rosa's staff pulled out a beautiful wedding dress from the box. In her eyes, the dress did look very luxurious. The shape was quite sexy. It was a short tube dress with the length just slightly below her thighs. What made it look so glamorous was the fact that it was decorated with lots of sparkling crystals.

However, she already liked the long dress with the peacock tail she was wearing now. This dress looked simpler and suited her personality more. The dress from the box looked too sexy and glamorous. Something she was not.

"Try on that dress, Baby. I'm sure you'll look even prettier in that dress." Within Elleard's smile, there was an undeniable command. Elena really wanted to say that she had already chosen this dress. However, Elleard's gaze at her made Elena unable to refute.

She nodded weakly. Then she turned back and walked into the fitting room again. Rosa who saw Elena's disappointment couldn't say anything to Elleard. Two assistants rushed in and helped Elena take off her first dress and put on the new one.

Not long after, Elena came back out in her new wedding dress. The dress looked very sexy, showing off a pair of long legs. When Elena lifted her face, she saw Ellerad's face beamed with happiness. She could tell the man really liked this dress.

Elena immediately remembered her clothes in the walk-in closet. Ahh… she should have known. Elleard seemed to really like it when she wore sexy clothes. That's just who he was. If she wanted to be a good wife to him, she should learn to make him happy by looking sexy, just as he liked.

"I thought so, baby. You are very beautiful in that dress," Elleard said, praising Elena.

Elena subconsciously covered her lower thighs which were exposed due to her short dress. Elena actually imagined her wedding dress would be a long white dress that swept across the floor, the traditional one. However, it looked like she would end up wearing another one for her wedding day.

"Ahh .. the size is also almost right," commented Rosa admiringly. "It's almost as if this dress was made for Miss Elena."

Elleard glanced at Rosa. "How long do you think it will take you to get the size right?"

Rosa replied, "My team and I are able to finish it in three days. I'll also add some more details, so the dress will look a little different…"

Elleard waved his hand impatiently, "I don't want you to make the dress look different. I love this dress as is."

Rosa couldn't help but fall silent when she heard Elleard's words. She felt bad when she imagined how the bride would feel if she found out that the dress she was going to wear at her own wedding was the dress that was supposed to be worn by Lisa, her husband's ex-fiancee?

Rosa had intended to slightly change the appearance of the dress so that it would not be recognized by Lisa, in case Elleard's wedding photos would surface later, but apparently, Elleard wanted Lisa to know that his future wife was wearing the wedding dress that she didn't get to wear…

Rosa really didn't understand what the man was thinking.

"What if we get both dresses? I mean, I can wear the long gown during the wedding ceremony and then I can wear the short one for the reception?" Elena tried to bargain.

"I really think you look much better wearing the short one. It compliments your figure perfectly," said Elleard. "Why would you wear something less than perfect if you have the perfect dress for you?"

Elena was silent. She was surprised because Elleard asked her to come here and choose her wedding dress, but in the end it was his choice that she had to wear. She didn't know how she should respond to this.

She could only stand still, unable to argue. Meanwhile, Rosa and her assistants were gathering all the other dresses, including the one that Elena really liked. Her gaze was still locked on the dress until it was completely taken away.

"Sir Elleard," called Elena. Elleard turned his wheelchair until it was facing Elena. She then asked in a doubtful voice. "I haven't asked you, who will give me away during the wedding ceremony? I don't have anyone from my family."

"Uncle Luca will do the honor. He is my father's younger brother," said Elleard comforting Elena.

"Oh okay." Elena nodded. "Thank you."

"By the way how long will you keep calling me with honorifics, Elena?" Elleard tilted his face and looked at Elena with a faint smile.

Elena blushed then bit the tip of her fingernail. "I'm used to calling you that, sir. it feels really weird to call your name directly."

"If you get in the habit of calling my name, it won't feel weird anymore, Elena." Elleard leaned back in his wheelchair and then folded his arms.

"Okay, I'll try to call your name, Sir... uhm… Elleard." Elena's smile and gaze at this time looked very awkward. Her face flushed red. She then ventured to ask Elleard something.

"Elleard, may I ask a question?"

"Mmm…?" Elleard looked back at Elena.

"What made you choose me to be your wife? There are so many beautiful women out there who must want to marry you."

This was the question Elena had wanted to ask for a long time. She was really curious to know what made Elleard do all this for her.

"I'm not that charming, Elena. You're exaggerating when you said there must be many women who would want to marry me." Elleard laughed softly. Elena pursed her lips thinking Elleard was laughing at her.

Elleard touched Elena's arm and asked instead, "What about you? What made you accept my proposal?"

Elena fell silent at the question. She bit her lip and thought carefully about her answer.

At first, she came with Elleard because she felt like she had no other choice. She had been kicked out of the apartment by her aunt and she had no place to live anymore. Elleard came to offer protection and comfort. How could she refuse his kindness?

Finally, she answered softly, "Because… you are so good to me."

Elleard smirked when he heard Elena's honest answer. He said, "Hmm… I'm not that good, Elena."
