196 Chapter(Hundred) Ninety Five: Event

Present day…

It was finally here, the night they had all been waiting for. The foyer teemed with bodies, invited guests. Ornate crystal chandeliers hung overhead, bathing the house's interior with a golden glow. Low murmurs drifted through the air, accompanied by the sounds of clanking steps as more guests trickled in. 

The entire first floor had been spruced and embossed into the spacious hall that it was now. Oodles of beautiful white roses adorned the place; the banister, lining the walls. Some were even set into elegant crystal vases that embellished the round tables.

Everyone in attendance was either clothed in an evening dress or wore a tuxedo. There was one thing the party had and it was diversity. Fabrics of different colors swayed in a flourish as people ambled about greeting old acquaintances and in the process, meeting new ones.
