Chapter 43: Quiet After a Storm

The snarls had seemed to rage on for what felt like forever in Ash’s opinion, after the help of the other Alphas had arrived, he had been quick to lead Thea out of the room. Glancing over his shoulder once, relieved to see Liam on the losing end of things. Though the whimper of pain that had come from Thea had him focusing on the task at hand, getting her to the healer.

He had managed to get Thea through the doorway, nearly stumbling as the healer had come rushing over to them, concern etched into every feature as she took in the damages that had been done. After Ash had shifted back, he simply wrapped Thea up as it took her longer to turn back into a person.

“Please.” He managed to get out. “Her first.” He pleaded with the healer, even though his wounds were worse, he didn’t know what kind of damage was done to her after she had tried to fight again.
