Chapter 36: The Truth
Thea stared at Ash across the table, she couldn’t believe what he had said to her just mere moments ago. When he didn’t respond right away, she huffed and then growled at him. “You. Did. What?” She grit out much more harshly as Ash had blinked and seemed to come back to reality.
“I stepped down from my position, it was too much of a danger to you and to myself as well. If you are my fated mate, I can’t keep putting you in harm's way every time we take a step forward. I care about you Thea, I don’t ever want to see you get hurt.” Ash responded as he took a sip of his coffee as though he hadn’t dropped the biggest bomb in the world on her.
