Chapter 27: Digging

“Lily, really, did you find anything else that could be used as evidence?” Thea questioned as she pulled on one of her favorite t-shirts the next morning. She had work, and that meant confronting Ash about his beta while they were at work. She heard a sigh and then some shuffling along with rapid clicking as though Lily was opening up their databases.

“Nothing else really, a few articles here and there, but nothing major that could point directly at him for, well, anything!” Lily huffed softly in response. “Especially after everything you told me last night, there’s too many similarities between everything for it to be a coincidence. I’m going to go ahead and say that his beta is probably doing something behind his back and since they’re friends, then he probably doesn’t even recognize the danger that he’s in.”
