Chapter six

I still remember all the pain and humiliation I received from him and Nikkini. I crossed my arms as I stood in the gap between my open door.

"What do you want?" I asked in a harsh voice.

He smiled widely at me. Gods, I can't remember the last time Eden directed a smile at me. Yet here he was smiling like he was the most pleasant person on the continent.

"I just wanted to apologize for everything that went down today." He said pleasantly.

Eden has never apologized to me for all the things he put me through over the years. Now just because I could potentially become the Lycan's luna and technically outrank him, he's trying to suck up to me. I can't believe I ever loved such an unflattering person. Just the thought of it is ridiculous.

He looked so ecstatic, I couldn't even help but wonder if he was affected by our divorce at all. I mean, he didn't even mind that I was going to be someone else's mate. He showed not even an ember of jealousy.
