Chapter 6: Making Plans

Alexa's P.O.V.

I got to school early today, for some reason I didn't sleep that well. I was sitting at my table when I saw Cain pull up. He got out of this truck, and walked over. "Good morning Cain." "Morning Alexa." I could see a slight bruise on his face, I frowned. It must have not gone that well last night.

I wanted to ask him what happened, but I am pretty sure he didn't want to talk about it. "So did you tell Mr. Reed what I told you to." He nodded. "I did and I think he actually believed me. He said that we are going to stay, so I can graduate high school. Then we are supposed to leave." He sat next to me.

"At least we have time to come up with a plan." He frowned and looked at me weird. "A plan for what?" "Well to kill Mr. Reed and get you to safety." I said with a duh tone. "Alexa you can't do that. If something happens to Mr. Reed there will be a whole army here looking for whoever did it. The whole pack would be at risk. I would never be able to forgive myself if something happened to you or your pack."

I frowned knowing he was right. "But I can't just leave you with him. He is a hunter and makes you do horrible things. I mean don't you want to be free to live with your own kind?" He looked like he was thinking about it.

"Well I mean I would like to leave him, but we can't ever be free as long as there are still all these scientists and hunters." "Well looks like we have a lot to plan and a little time to do so." Cain reached out and held my hand. "Alexa why are you doing this? Why are you helping me? You just meet me."

I honestly didn't know why I trusted him, so much it was almost instinctual. "Cain you are going to learn some things fast around here. I care for everyone. I believe everyone has a reason to do what they want. No one should ever have to leave a life of fear and torutre."

I didn't even hear Eli walk up till he spoke. "Yeah Alexa has a heart of gold and she loves to share. That is what's going to make her a great Alpha." I could tell Cain really wanted to be a part of the pack, but I could also tell he didn't want to get us hurt, or put a target on your backs."Oh yeah I wanted to ask you guys something."

"Sure what is it?" "Well I was wondering if I could meet your parents Alexa?" I stared at him for a second. "You want to do what?" I almost did comprehend what he asked. "Well I was just thinking since I am staying here, and you are going to help me. I thought maybe I could meet your parents, and Eli's too. Also since they are the alpha and beta, and this is their territory." With that Eli gasped. "Well I don't see why you can't let me just talk to them first, and we can set a date."

The rest of the day went fine. We all just acted like nothing happened and everything was fine. Cain had lunch with us and properly met my friends. They seem to really like him, and I am glad for that. I really was curious about the bruises but by the last class they were gone.

I walked into my house. "Hey sweetie, how was school today?" "It was good, and I need to ask you and dad a question when he gets home." As soon as I said that my dad walked through the door. "What do you need to ask me and your mother?"

I laughed. "So Cain was wondering if he could meet y'all and the Hall's since he will be staying here for the rest of the school year." "Yeah I don't see why not, as long as he promises to not hurt you or the pack, and that he will tell us everything Mr. Reed is planning?"

I nodded my head. "I don't see why that would be a problem. He has already told him that there are no lycans here and I can tell he really doesn't like him." I looked at my dad.

"We also need to get him away from Mr. Reed." My dad looked at me confused. "And why is that?" "Well Mr. Reed makes him fight to the death with other lycans and he hurts Cain."

My mom gasped. "Oh my gosh no kid should ever have to do that." My dad looked at my mom then back at me. "Okay we can see what we can do. We need to be very careful though." I just nodded my head.
