Chapter 17: A Different Point of View

Alexa's P.O.V.

Cain and I were driving to Jasper's pack. I had called Finn when we left the house and told him what happened, and he said he would meet us in Seattle. Sebastian spoke from the back seat.

"Did you hurt my dad?" I turned around to face him. "No I did not. I just gave him a little message to give to his friends." Sebastian looked out the window and asked another question. "Are you going to kill me?"

I thought back to the threat I gave Mr. Jones. "No Sebastian I am not going to kill you. You have never even met a lycan until you met us." Sebastian looked at me. "Where are we going?" I turned around and looked at the road. "To go see a friend."

When we were an hour out of Seattle I called Jasper. "Hello Alexa" Hello. We had a problem back in Canton and was wondering if you had a place Cain, Finn, and I could stay?" "You can stay at my house." "Is there somewhere in the house we could keep a special guest?"

I guess he knew what I was talking about, because he didn't question me, just answered "Yes." "Okay we will be there shortly. See you soon." I looked at Cain. "Okay we are set."

I looked at Sebastian. "Okay when we get there you are not to say a word to anyone unless I say you can. Got me?" Sebastian just nodded his head. I raised my voice. "No Sebastian I want to hear you say it. I need to make sure you fully understand me." Sebastian coward back a little. "Yes I understand Alexa." I nodded then turned around.

After a while we pulled up to Jasper's house. "Cain you get Sebastian." We got out and walked up to Jasper. Jasper hugged me. "It's nice to see you too." Jasper looked at Sebastian. "I am guessing this is your special guest" I nodded.

"Yes, his name is Sebastian." Jasper walked up to Sebastian and held out his hand. I nodded at Sebastian. He reached out timidly and shook his hand. Jasper spoke. ��Well you must not be too harmful, since your hands aren't tied." I stepped closer to them. "Sebastian and I have a little agreement."

A guy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes walks out of the house and over to us. Jasper introduced him. "This is James, he is my beta. He will show you where Sebastian will be staying. While you are staying here." I nodded. James spoke. "Miss Wood if you will follow me." He looked at Cain. Then turned around and headed to the house.

I looked at Jasper. "Not much of a talker is that one." Jasper just chuckled and shook his head. "No he is just weary of having a hunter here." I nodded then looked at Cain. "Well let's go." We followed James down stairs to the basement where they had cells that looked like jail cells.

Each cell had a cot, pillow, blanket, sink and even a toilet. We walked to the first cell on the right. James stopped and opened the door. "This is it. There is always someone at the door. He has a key to all the cells. You can come down as much as you want." "Thank you James that will be it and we can find our way back up stairs."

He turned to walk away but stopped. "Almost forgot Alpha Hale told me to tell you. That you can use the same rooms you used last time." I nodded. Once he had left Cain walked Sebastian in. Sebastian looked at me. "Is this really necessary?"

"This is more for your safety. You are in a house full of lycans that hate hunters." He nodded then sat down. Cain walked out and shut the door. We left and went to our room and waited for Finn to get there.

After an hour of just watching t.v. Cain's phone went off. He pulled it out and answered it. I didn't bother listening. After a few minutes he hung up and came back and sat on the couch. "Who was that?" Cain looked at me. "It was Finn he said he won't be here till tomorrow."

"Did he say anything about my parents or my pack?" "He said your parents are staying with a friend and the rest of the pack is fine." I nodded. I should probably call them tomorrow. "I am going to go get a shower then go to bed." Cain just nodded and sat back on the couch.

I got up and went and got a shower. Jasper had someone bring some clothes up here before we arrived here. They were a little big but I didn't care. I left the bathroom and laid down on the bed. After a while I heard the shower turn on. I guess Cain decided to go ahead and go to bed.

I woke up and tried to get out of bed, but there was something holding me in my place. I looked to see Cain with his arm around my waist. I just laid there watching him sleep. After meeting Cain I don't know what I did before him. Cain opened his eyes.

"What are you thinking about?" I smiled a little. "Just about how I could get used to this." He pulled me closer to him. I closed my eyes and listened to his heart. Someone knocked on the door. Cain growled. "Some people just have really bad timing." Cain got up, looked at the door then back at me. "You stay there." I just nodded and watched him walk to the door.

I looked over at the clock on the nightstand it read 10 a.m. I can't believe we slept so long. Cain shut the door, and walked over to the bed with a suitcase in hand. "That was Finn he grabbed some clothes from the house." "Was that a safe idea." "He said that they had already been there, but didn't see anyone watching the house."

I looked in the suitcase and saw my favorite combat boots. I squealed like a little girl on Christmas. Cain looked at me and laughed. "See something you like in there." I pulled out my boots. "Only my favorite combat boots." I laughed some more than walked over to look in the suitcase.

He pulled out a pair of dark jeans and a red v-neck short sleeve t-shirt, and went to the closest to change. I looked through the suitcase for a minute before pulling out some black skinny jeans and a red sparkly tube top and a black leather jacket. I was tying my boots when Cain walked in the room. He stopped and looked me up and down, I started to blush.

He walked over to me, then looked me over again. "Do you like it?" He smiled. "Like it I love it. You look really good." "Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." He had his jeans over his black boots and his shirt was like another layer of skin on him. There was a knock at the door. "Come in." The door opened and Finn walked in. He walked over to me and handed me a note.

"It is from your parents." I looked at it then sat down and opened it. [Dear Alexa, I hope everything is good on your end. Your father and I thought it would be better if we didn't call each other. Be sure to stay close to Cain and don't worry about us. We are staying with a friend. Only Finn knows where we are and we want to keep it that way. I can't wait to see you when this all over, and Eli and his parents are watching over the pack. Love, Mom and Dad]

A tear rolled down my cheek. I felt someone wipe it away and looked up into Cain's beautiful green eyes. "What does it say?" "They told me not to call and that they were safe, and not to worry about them." Cain looked at Finn. "Have you heard anything?" "Nothing directly, but I know Katie got your message Alexa, and she is not happy."

I slightly smiled. "Okay so I say we stay here for a while then see how everything is and let it calm down some. Then we can plan our next move." Cain and Finn both nodded. I looked at Cain. "I want to go see Sebastian." "Okay I will come with." Cain looked at Finn. "You know what to do." Finn nodded then left.

Cain and I walked down to the basement. The guy standing at the door looked rugged. He had brown hair and honey eyes, he was covered in scars. I walked up to him and smiled. "Hello, my name is Alexa Wood and this is Cain." He looked at me with an emotionless face but then it softened. "My name is Mason Hansen. I am one of Alpha Hale's warriors." "It is very nice to meet you. May we see Sebastian." He nodded his head and opened the door to the basement. He walked in and we followed right behind him.

He opened Sebastian's cell. "I will lock it when you leave." He left and went back out the door. Sebastian was laying in the bed reading a book. "Well how did you get that?" He sat up, closed his book then looked at me. "I just asked for one." I nodded. "Have you eaten?" He nodded. "Yeah they have been feeding me. It actually is really good food."

"Okay this is what we are doing. We are going to stay here for about a week then probably move just to keep this pack safe and in case they are getting close." Sebastian looked like he was thinking then spoke. "When are you going to let me go?" I answered him. "We don't know yet. As of right now you are the only reason they haven't sent there other lycans to look for us."

"Wait what do you mean by that?" I looked at Cain then back at him. I wasn't going to just not tell him, but I still don't want to tell him the truth but I need to. "I told them that if they come looking for us that I would kill you." Sebastian turned pale. "But don't worry I won't kill you." Cain spoke. "We might need you at some point."

"Sebastian, Cain and I have something to do. If you need anything just ask Mason and he will get you whatever you want." He nodded then laid back down. We walked out and stopped and looked at Mason. "If he needs anything you get him it or get someone to get it for him. Got it." He nodded. He started to leave. "Alexa" I stopped and turned to look at Mason. "You are going to be a very powerful Alpha. I can already feel the alpha command in your voice." He looked at Cain. "You got your hands full, but never let her go. She is a good one."

It has been about five days since I came back to Jasper's pack. Everything has been calm. Finn has been keeping me informed on my pack. Eli has been keeping the younger wolves calm. Katie left town two days after she found Mr. Jones. We haven't seen or heard anything about them. Cain had got up early today to talk to Finn about if we should leave.

I walked into Finn's room. Finn was sitting in a chair and Cain was on the couch. I walked over and sat next to Cain, but apparently I was too far away because he pulled me closer to him. "Okay so what are we doing?" Finn looked at Cain. "I say we leave to keep Jasper's pack safe and so we aren't in the same place for too long. I nodded. "I might know somewhere we can go, but I will need to make some calls." Cain spoke. "I already talked to Jasper, and he said that when you decide where you want to go then you can use his phone to call them."

"Okay then I will go make a phone call and then we can get going." I got up and walked to the door. Before I opened it Cain spoke. "Alexa wait, I am coming with." I heard Cain whisper something to Finn and came up behind. "Okay we can go now." I followed Jasper's scent to his office. I knocked twice before I heard him say come in. I opened the door. "What do you need Alexa?" "May I use your phone?" He nodded and reached into his pocket and handed me his phone. "I have all the Alpha's numbers in the United States in my phone just find the one you want."

I started to scroll through his phone till I found the name I was looking for. I hit it then waited for the other end to pick up. "This Alpha Wessex. What do you need Jasper."
