Chapter 13: Going Home

Alexa's P.O.V.

I woke up to the sun beaming down on my face, so I turned over and watched Cain sleep. I sure do love having Cain around. I always feel safe around him, it just felt so right. Seems like months, but It has only been three weeks since we arrived at Jasper's house. Katie and the other hunters searched the whole town. After a few days they left.

My dad nor the other pack member have seen Katie or the hunters since they left. My dad said we could go home today. Since we still had to finish school. Cain's heart started to beat a little faster then his eyes opened.

"Good morning Alexa." "Good morning Cain." I sat up, leaned against the headboard. Cain looked up at me. "You know Cain I am sure going to miss waking up to you." "What do you mean? I am not going anywhere."

"Cain, we go home today, and I don't think my parents are going to let this" I motioned between us. "To continue like this." He sat up. "Why would they not? Alexa I am not leaving you not for them not for anyone."

I loved it when he got all protective. "Lets just see what happens, no need in getting all upset about it right now." There was a knock on the door. "Come in." The door is opened, and Finn walks in. "Good morning." Cain and I replied. "Morning."

Finn looked at me. "Are you ready to go home?" "Yeah." I wasn't really sure if I was ready. Here in Seattle everything just seemed perfect. I didn't have anything to worry about, Cain was with me all the time. At the end of the day I know this isn't my home and I need to go home. My pack and family needed me.

Cain and I got up and got our stuff packed and we met Finn at the front door. Jasper and Bridget were there. Finn took our bags out to the car. Bridget walked up to me and gave me a hug, Jasper shocked Cain's hand. "Now you two be careful, and remember you are always welcomed here." Cain walked out the door and I was about to walk out when Jasper called my name.

I turned around. "Yeah Jasper." "Alexa, don't worry everything is going to be fine. If you need me just call, and I am there. My pack and I are here for you and Cain. You have a tough and dangerous road ahead of you both." I smiled at him. "Don't worry I will."

"Also don't let Cain go. He is the one person you will always be able to trust, the one that is always going to have your back no matter the citation."

He wished us a safe ride home. I walked out to the car and got in. Cain was in the back seat this time. "Why are you not up front?" "I wanted to sit back here with you." I closed my door and laid down in the seat with my head on his lap.

Cain lightly shook my shoulders. I opened my eyes and looked out the window to see my house. "We are home already?" "Yeah you slept the whole time." I sat up, got out of the car. I started walking to the door when I got to the door Cain was already by my side.

My mom opened the door before I could even reach for the nob. She embraced me into a hug. "Oh how I have missed you." "I missed you to mom." She finally let me go and we all walked in. Finn walked in with mine and Cain's bags. "Alexa where would you like these?"

"You can put them in my room." He nodded his head and headed up the stairs. I looked back at my mom. "Is dad here?" "No he is at Julian's going over some stuff." "Okay well I can talk to him later." Cain spoke. "Thank you again Isabella for letting Finn and I stay here."

My mom smiled at Cain. "It is our pleasure Cain. You saved our little girl." Cain and I walked up the stairs to my room. I went to my closet to put up my clean clothes and noticed that half the closet had guy clothes in it. I walked back into the room.

"Well my mom got you some clothes." Cain chuckled. "Yeah I think your mom really likes me."

My mom yelled. "DINNER IS READY." Cain and I walked down stairs and sat at the table. Once we all had our food my dad spoke. "Alexa, are you ready for school tomorrow?" I looked at my dad. "As ready as I can be."

My mom spoke. "Well we got Cain to have all the same classes as you so you are not ever left alone. We haven't seen Katie or the other hunters, but that doesn't mean they won't return any day."

Cain looked at my mom. "Thank you Isabella." She nodded at Cain. My dad spoke to Cain. "What do you think?" Cain looked confused. "About what sir?" "About the hunters. Do you think they are coming back?"

Cain thought for a second. "No, they will send in the lycans to track me. They will have some in school and others throughout the town." My mom looked scared. "Mom it's okay. We are going to be fine."

My mom looked at me. "I know it just. When they took you I thought I was never going to see you again." "Mom I'm fine and safe, and don't worry about school Cain won't let anything happen to me." I looked over at Cain with a smile on my face. I really did love having him here. I just felt so complete.

The rest of dinner was quiet after we got done eating Cain and I went to bed. I had just got out of the shower, and walked over to the bed. Cain was laying down wearing only gym shorts. "Cain what did I tell you about not wearing a shirt."

He smiled at me. "What am I too distracting for you to go to sleep." I grabbed my pillow and hit him in the face. A little too hard he fell off the bed. He stood up and his eyes were glowing. I knew I was in trouble now. Our wolves might be the same in strength but his is a little faster than me.

I screamed and tried to run to the closet but he grabbed me before I could even get close. "Cain let me go." He growled playfully. "Never." I stopped struggling and just looked at him. "What are you going to go easy. Without a fight." "Never without a fight." I leaned closer to his face just inches apart. When I felt him relax I pushed him off of me and ran to the bed and got under the covers.

I peaked out to see him slowly walk to the bed. Before he got there. There was a knock on the door. He stopped and turned to the door. I watched him sniff the air then spoke. "Come in." I watched the door open and saw my mom. I looked back at Cain, and his eyes were back to normal.

My mom spoke. "Guys it is a school night you need to get some sleep." She looked over at me, smiled and shook her head. Then left the room. When the door was shut I looked back to Cain. "You heard her go to bed." He walked over to the bed and practically jumped into bed.

I almost fell off, but caught myself. Cain turned and faced me. "Good night." He closed his eyes. "Good night Cain." I watched him as his face softened and his heart beat slowed. I moved closer to him and he put his arm around me.
