"Still like it black?" Ava asked Broody.

"You still remember."

"It's because I don't have sugar, idiot." Ava said as she put the coffee in front of Broody. Then she sat opposite him. "Patricia told you about Amelia?"

"You knew… of course you did."

"I can tell that you are blaming me, Broody. That doesn't make any sense." Why would Broody blame her if Amelia is a witch?

"You knew Amelia's a witch. Did you know… I have been looking for her everywhere. Knowing the truth would have helped me."

"Did it?"

"What?"

"After knowing the truth… did it help you somehow?"

Speechless, the man stared at her before he grabbed his coffee and drank it.

"No." Broody answered after a few seconds. He then leaned forward. "Patricia believes that Amelia left."
