Chapter 3: "Beggar" to Prince

The next week, I ordered two dozen cups of milk tea every day in the milk tea store where he worked, and then let Yvette distribute them to the company's executives.

They could only drink the milk tea for my sake. A few days later, one of the managers stayed behind and spoke to me with hesitation after a meeting, "Boss, well, I went to the hospital yesterday for a medical checkup, and the doctor said I have high blood sugar and should take less sweet food."

I felt a little guilty when I looked at his pleasing smile and fat belly, and felt a little guilty. I couldn't ruin my colleague's health for my marriage.

I looked at my watch.

I would let him deliver one last time tomorrow.

The next day, Elias came over at noon.

There was a downpour. When he arrived, he was drenched, but the milk tea he gave me didn't get wet at all.

I suddenly felt somewhat distressed and guilty.

"Your milk tea." He looked at me, his eyes wet. I didn't know if it was because of the rain outside or not. "Although I work in a milk tea store, I would like to remind you that you should drink less milk tea."

I laughed in my heart. He was so cute.

"I have a lounge inside my office. Go inside to take a shower and change your clothes. I'll ask Yvette to get the clothes."

He wiped his face, "No need."

He was about to leave and I stopped in front of him, "I'll give you two choices: keep delivering milk tea to me every day for the next week, or go inside to shower and change."

His beautiful eyes blinked.

I softened my tone, "You're so stubborn. In such weather, won't you wait until the rain stops before you deliver? I don't want to make you sick because of the milk tea."

He swallowed. He probably got tired of delivering milk tea. He asked,

His throat twitched, probably also sent afraid of milk tea, and asked me, "Are you serious? If I go in and change my clothes, you will no longer order milk tea in my store?"

I was amused, "Do I have to lie to you?"

He nodded as a yes after thinking about it for a few seconds.

I led him into the lounge.

The lounge was ninety square meters in area, with a kitchen, a dining room, a living room, and a bedroom.

I usually rested here when I worked late and was too tired to go home.

"The bathroom is on the left. Take a shower first and I'll have my assistant get the clothes."

"Okay."

"The towels in the bathroom are brand new. You can use them."

"Okay."

"Help yourself! I'll go out first."

Yvette soon brought the clothes over. I got up, walked to the lounge, and knocked on the door, "Are you done?"

"Yes."

"I'm coming in then..." I said as I pushed open the door and ran into Elias coming out of the bathroom.

He had no clothes above the waist and his nice body was all in sight. Perhaps it was because he worked out a lot, his body was tightly muscled and his six-pack abs were perfect.

I handed him the clothes, "Put them on."

He was embarrassed by the fact that I bumped into him with his upper body naked, and now that he heard me say that, he took the clothes and went into the bathroom.

When I sat back down to review the documents, Elias came out fully dressed.

"Done?" I looked him up and down, nodded, and complimented, "These clothes fit you pretty well."

Without answering, he pulled a wad of money out of the pocket and put it on the table, "This is the extra money you gave me for the milk tea and I'm giving it back to you."

I got up and walked to him.

He had just had a shower and there was a natural scent of lemon on his body. He was fascinating just standing there quietly, not needing to do anything.

This man was both innocent and attractive, yet he didn't know it. It was hard for me to control myself.

At first, I had been interested in him, and now I did feel a desire to have him.

"Okay." I took the money, "Thank you for delivering milk tea every day these days."

"You're welcome. It's my job." He continued, "How much are the clothes? I'll transfer the money back to you then."

"Instead of paying me back, why don't you do me a favor?" I took the opportunity to make my request, "It's a birthday of the son of a friend of mine in a few days and I need a companion. If you want to thank me, go with me."

"If you don't say anything, I'll take that as a yes. Next Tuesday, I'll come and pick you up on time."

Elias nodded and left.

"See you next Tuesday."

Elias compressed his lips and put his hand on the doorknob, "I hope the next time is the last time we'll see each other."

I was speechless.

What? Was he still trying to get rid of me?

He might look pure and innocent like a harmless little puppy, but that didn't mean he was a fool. Judging from the way I had been acting these days, it was obvious that I was "courting" him.

"You should not make such useless efforts any longer." He said, "I told you, we won't end up together."

"You don't like me?" I was not annoyed, nor was I lost.

He said lightly, "We're not right for each other."

" How do you know whether it we're right for each other or not if you haven't tried?" I crossed my arms against my chin and winked at him, "You might feel pity if you were together with me."

"Pity about what?"

"Pity you weren't with me sooner."

Elias, "…"

His face was beautiful and so were his ears. After I confessed my love for him without warning, his ears turned pink, which made him look even more attractive.

After Elias left, Yvette came back.

"Starting tomorrow, you don't have to order milk tea anymore." I instructed her.

"Okay." Yvette nodded and then asked, "Boss, why don't you order milk tea all of a sudden? Is it because it's raining heavily today and you feel sorry for him?"

I glanced at her: "I don't mind giving you more work if you're not busy."

Yvette went out awkwardly.

On Tuesday, I drove to pick up Elias myself.

He seemed to have just woken up, with his hair slightly messy. He was dressed in a simple white T-shirt, which gave him a fresh and refined feeling.

"Let's go, I'll take you to get changed first." It was said "Clothes make a man just as a saddle makes a horse", but I thought it was Elias who made the clothes look good.

He had broad shoulders, a slender waist, long legs, and a golden ratio, which was why Jeremy couldn't hide the amazement in his eyes when he first saw Elias.

"Dress him up." I said, then sat down on the sofa with a magazine and read it idly.

Elias wanted to resist, but Jeremy was an enthusiastic stylist, who would not let any of the men he chose go.

Therefore, I could hear Elias' angry voice from time to time.

"Don't you touch me."

"Try it if you dare to take off my clothes."

"Oh boy, don't move. I'll be very careful..."

After a while in chaos, Elias finally came out unwillingly. I looked up inadvertently, only to be stunned by the man standing in front of me.
