1 Chapter 1: Prologue – Introduction to the Characters

This story, 'The Lover's Children', is the latest part of a much longer story and follows directly on from my steamy thriller, 'The Master's Child'.

I have tried to write 'The Lover's Children' so it can be read as a standalone. However, if you would like to get to know the characters and backstory first, there are several starting points for the tale. You can begin with any of the below stories:

BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO CHARACTERS

CHARLOTTE – Also known as JENNY (her birthname).

Charlotte grew up in dire circumstances in the hands of traffickers in a fake children's home known as Blessingmoors.

However, these days she lives happily in a polyamorous marriage with her legal husband, Michael, and her Dom/Master, James. Also in the relationship are Charlotte's 'cousin', Beth and her husband, billionaire Richard Haswell

Charlotte is mother, by James, to Cara.

MICHAEL – Blond, unusually handsome and charming, Michael is Charlotte's 'husband-de-jure'. James is his oldest friend. The pair met years ago when, as single men, they cruised the sex clubs.

JAMES – Previously married, and a Dom through and through, James is Charlotte's 'husband-de-facto'. Much older than Charlotte, he 'bought' her, along with with her virginity, in an auction. During the week in which he 'owned' her, James introduced Charlotte to sex, BDSM and menage, sharing her with Michael. He also fell hopelessly in love with her. Over time, he engineered the marriage they now share.

Co-director with billionaire Richard. Father to the infant Cara by Charlotte, and daughter Georgie by his previous marriage.

LARRY KLEMPNER – aka LARS WATERMAN

Ex-mercenary, ex-criminal and complete badass. Doing his best to reform his old ways. Charlotte's father and husband to Mitch.

KIRSTIE AND RYAN

Friends of the family. Kirstie was responsible for saving Charlotte's life and so now is 'under the wing' of both James and Richard. Ryan is Kirstie's Dom, and as we open the story, the couple are about to marry.
