"Oi, old man!" Called Rei. But because the person was still busy kicking each other with his daughter, Rei immediately grabbed the binoculars that had been hanging from his waist.

"Huh, what?!" Feeling pickpocketed, the old man turned his head. But before protesting, he finally noticed the existence of the ship which still looked small. Without even needing binoculars, he could already recognize the black flag's meaning.

"Damn clams! Pirates?!" The old man said, then immediately hit his daughter's shoulder. "Pull down all the sails! We have to speed before they catch us!"

"What, seriously?!" Following the panic, Feny immediately moved her legs to untie all the screen ties.

For a moment the ship immediately went faster than before, but Rei didn't look the least bit impressed and instead gave a soft snort. "You know it's useless, right? A lousy ship like this will surely be overtaken in no time." He said though the two of them just ignored him and continued doing their jobs.

"Tsk, you pitiful people. Even though our situation is already bad, now we even meet pirates? Why isn't everything running smoothly?!" He grumbled to himself, which finally turned back to Aria. "Grab your stuff. We'll just get out of here."

"What?"

"It's still a bit far, but I can fly you to the capital now. Just grab what you need and we'll get out of here soon." Rei replied, who then ran to get a bag from the side of the ship to take makeshift items. Apart from his belongings, it turned out that there were also some of Aria's belongings that Leyna and the others seemed to have brought.

But of course Aria just stood where she was. "...Then how about Feny and her father?"

"Huh? How should I know that? If they don't get killed, they would at least be made into slaves." Rei replied blatantly.

Then after finishing pocketing their meager belongings, he returned to Aria's side. "Don't complain. I can't fly a single ship, you know." He continued, now holding Aria's arm.

"N-Not the ship, but we can take them, right?" Denied Aria who still didn't want to go.

Silent, Rei instead made a face of disgust at the woman in front of him. Even though instead of immediately dragging Aria away, Rei turned his gaze towards the captain. "If you want, I can take you out. Do you want it or not?" He asked.

"And leave this ship?? I'd rather just die here!" Replied the captain.

"See?" Rei said towards Aria again. "We're leaving now."

And without waiting for her permission, Rei immediately threw the bag into Aria's arms and started carrying her flying into the sky.

"What? Wait!" Aria protested even though her hand spontaneously gripped Rei's neck.

She almost gave up in that situation. But when her eyes returned to catch Feny's figure who was busy pacing the ship's deck, her sane mind returned. "But you and I can use some magic. Shouldn't we help them?! How can we run away and leave them to die just like that?" She complained.

But because Rei just ignored her, eventually Aria started thrashing about. "Put me down! Get me off!"

"Damn it! Don't move--"

BOOM! But something suddenly shot flying towards them. The red light that obviously looked like it had explosive power.

'There's a magician on that ship!'

"Kgh!" Rei who saw that used his shield magic quickly. But the effect of the explosion still makes their grip detached from each other.

Aria fell first into the water, but Rei also rushed towards her and caught her before she sank too far. "Bwah!" And with great difficulty, both of them rushed to the surface to catch their breath.

The item they had brought with them was also missing--or burned, unknown--but instead of that, what first caught Aria's attention was a faint red liquid pouring from Rei's head. "Y-Your head is bleeding!"

But instead of answering it, Rei pushed Alisa's hand away. "Even when it already comes to this, don't tell me you still want to come back."

"..." But as Aria fell silent, an even greater purple light shot towards them again. So this time it was Aria who had to cast her magic even though she preferred to reflect the light to the side of the sea which was a bit far from where they were.

"They probably won't let us go either." She said then.

"Ugh, screw it!" Rei cursed who then immediately turned his gaze to the pirate ship that was not far away. And he could see that there was a man with disgusting dreadlocks who was widening his laughter at them.

"...I want to kill him." Rei muttered finally.

While putting on a bitter face, Aria didn't really want to express the idea that popped up in her head. But in the end she still said, "That, um, maybe if we can use the dagger…"

Rei returned Aria's gaze with a displeased furrowed brow, but in the end he just chuckled in annoyance while rubbing his sore and dizzy head.

And they returned to the captain's ugly ship.
