1 CHAPTER 1

Despite the busy Y city, a girl was standing alone in front of the river. Her long midnight black hair was flowing like a calm sea wave in rhythm with the cool wind breeze. Her tall figure makes her look like a goddess in the white dress with long sleeves.

While she was immersed in the beauty of the reflection of the starts in the river water, everyone around her were mesmerized by her beauty and were staring at her.

Oblivious to her surroundings, she was reminded of her childhood days spent with two of her best friends Alaric and Emma in front of this river and numerous dates they had spent and she suddenly becomes sad as she was reminded of how she has no idea about how things are going for them for the past seven years when she was not in contact with them.

Even though it was her who took the decision to leave her home country and immigrate to America, she has never forgot them as they were among the very few who gave her a lot of happy memories which helped her to stay sane throughout these seven lonely years.

This was the first day in her home country after seven years. She has struggled a lot to finally decide to come home. She never thought she would set foot here after what she had been through.She has completed her master's in business management and started an entertainment company after her studies which became well known after 2 years.

Now she has branches in more than ten countries. Even though she started her company in America, the headquarters was situated in her home country. She came back due to some unavoidable business meetings. she contemplated a lot before deciding to come here.

Suddenly her phone started ringing, bringing her back to the reality. She mindlessly attended her phone and heard her assistant blabbering with panic.

"Liam! can u please talk slowly and clearly. I don't understand a thing you are saying"

"Boss … Where are you? I have been searching the whole hotel for around 2 hours and you were not even picking up your phone. I was very worried that you were lost"

"Don't be stupid Liam. I have lived here for 16years and literally grew up roaming the cities here why would I get lost. I can tell all the places here with my eyes closed. I just came out for a walk . Just come to the riverside, I will take you to a nice place for dinner and then we can go rest in our rooms" she hung up the phone without waiting for a reply.

Liam was relieved and thought that he can never understand his boss. One minute she was super scary for forgetting to pack an old scarf and cheap bracelet when she can even buy the biggest mall in the city with the money she has and next minute she was offering to buy dinner.

She always took care of him well even though he was just her assistant. Outside the company she treated him like a little brother and always look out for him. Whenever she went on business trips she never forgets to buy him a lot of souvenirs even though he was also accompanying her in all those trips.

Liam put on his coat and took an extra coat for his boss who always walks around without a coat saying that she loves the cold wind when she can not even withstand the cold and comes down with a fever often. She won't even go to hospital or take medicine. The place that she hates the most is hospitals. She would rather die than get treated on hospital.

Hope decided to stay there until Liam comes and just blankly stares at the sky debating about whether to visit her parents and family whom she had not visited for the past seven years.

She has never thought that she would be coming back here but now that she is here an unknown feeling grabs her heart and keeps reminding her of the old times.

When she was immersed in her own thoughts, someone kept calling her name and when she didn't answer he tap her shoulder to bring her to reality. When she realized she has again zoned out reminiscing the past, she just shakes her head with a smile and thought that it was Liam who was calling to her.

"Liam what took you so long. How long should I wait here for...." She froze there not completing her sentence.
