To the young witch Jessica White, love is something that can and should be acquired using magic. Chapter 54: Love Conquers

Linc left to make a phone call, and Felix and I had some time together. We sat on the stage, surrounded by the people who had been released from my spell, and were now fast asleep as they worked off our spell.

I couldn’t help feeling ashamed as I looked at our surroundings. All of this could have been avoided if I’d just been able to see what was in front of me. To be willing to acknowledge it was there. To really listen when Felix tried to tell me.

I turned to look at Felix. At least I could see and hear him now.

“Can I ask you something, Felix?” I asked him softly.

“You just did, Jessica,” he replied.

I smiled at that. “I’m serious, Felix,” I told him. “It’s a serious question, and I really want you to answer me.”

Felix turned to face me, smiling softly. “What is it, Jessica?” he asked me.
