Chapter Seven

LOTUS'S POV

I slowly opened my eyes. As usual, everywhere was white. I could see the white wolf, which was lying on the ground as usual. I was drawn to the wolf because it was cute. This time, I approached and tapped it, but it did not rise. I chose not to wake the wolf, who I noticed was deep in sleep.

I have been confined here for a long time with that wolf which has been sleeping since and didn't know how to get out because there was no way out. It was as though I had entered another dimension. I sat down on the floor to sleep as usual, but something unusual happened: for the first time since I've been here, I noticed a bright light shine from the upper limit.

As the light became brighter, I was obliged to close my eyes.

"Lotus," an angelic yet powerful voice called out to me, and I opened my eyes. The light had reduced this time, and I could see a really lovely woman clothed in a long flowing robe as white as snow. Her hair was as white as the finest silk and glistened as it flowed. Her silvery eyes sparkled like the finest diamond. Her skin was as white as snow, and her pink lips accentuated her beauty. About 20 moons were circling around her head like a crown. I couldn't stop wondering what kind of creature she was and how she knew my name.

"Who are you, and how did you come to know my name?"I inquired.

"My name is Selena. I'm the moon goddess." "I recognize you because you are my subject," she responded.

"You are the moon goddess, like the moon goddess of werewolves," I remarked to her, double-checking that it was the moon goddess I was thinking about.

"Yes, I am," she said."What exactly do you want from me and where am I?" I inquired.

"You have arrived at the crossroads of death and life." "I'm here to lead you back to the land of the living because you haven't fulfilled your role there," she added.

"I don't want to go back."I said to her as I moved away from her."You must return because it is not your time to die." "You still have a lot of things to do," she told me.

"There's nothing left there for me." I'd rather go to the world of the dead to my mother.""I told her."

"There's a lot for you back there, and you have to go back now because there's no time," she added as I turned to face her.

"Who do you think you are to decide my fate?" I inquired."

"Do you think that being the moon goddess is sufficient for you to decide my fate?" Where were you when my mother passed away? Why did you not save her?Where were you when I needed you the most? You also provided me with a mate and allowed me to be barren, which made my mate detest me. Why did you give me life when you knew what was going to happen? I don't want to go through this again. "I'm exhausted and need to rest." As I lamented, tears streamed down my face.

"There are a lot of misconceptions about me. I don't decide people's fates; rather, I create them. It is up to the people to choose their own fate by choosing the appropriate choice. Everything happens for a reason, so go and decide your fate. "Fulfill your purpose in the world," she stated.

I closed my eyes as the light began to shine brilliantly again. When I opened my eyes again, I was in a gorgeous flower garden. I noticed a woman tending to the flowers.I approached her and was surprised to see her as she turned around.

"Mother," I said, and she smiled back."Is this really you?"I inquired, and she nodded.I quickly hugged her while tears welled up in my eyes."I missed you so much," I sobbed openly.

"I'm overjoyed to see you again." I told her as we held hands and walked to the bench where we sat.

"As shown by the fact that. "I'm doing great here," she remarked, and I grinned."I'd like to stay here with you." "I told her."

"You can't stay here with me because you have a lot of things to fix back in the world," she told me.

"I don't want to return anywhere." "I don't want to be in that horrible place any longer," I told her.

"I didn't bring you up to be weak. You must be tough to win this fight"she said to me.

"How are you expecting me to be strong when I have no one to live for?""I'm all alone," I told her, wiping away my tears.

"You are not by yourself. I'm always there for you. Please remain strong and fight for the rights that have been taken away from you and your mother. Be joyful by discovering your actual self. This is my final wish for you. Please complete this task for me. "Please promise me," she pleaded, extending her hands to me.

"I promise," I told her.

"Now return before it's too late." Everything that is perplexing will make sense to you one day." This was the last thing she spoke to me before she vanished.A portal stood in front of me; I approached it and entered it without knowing where it would take me.

I gently opened my eyes and looked up at the ceiling. My headache was so terrible that I tried to get out of bed. My eyes surveyed the room, which was not my room.

"Arthur," I called, but there was no answer.

"Arthur," I whispered, clutching my aching head as recollections of everything that had happened rushed my mind. Tears rolled down my cheeks as the pain I felt was too much especially when I remembered that my lady in waiting died while saving me.

I could see my reflection in the wall-mounted mirror.I was startled to notice that my eyes had turned golden and my hair had turned silver blonde. I could feel something gaining control of me. I couldn't explain what was going on with me.The door was suddenly shoved open, and an unknown man entered.

"Danger.Kill him"A voice in my head whispered and I proceeded to finish the man off.

When I waved my hands, the man slammed into the wall.He tried to flee, but I drew him back with my gaze.

He collapsed on his knees, vomiting and choking on his blood, while I tightened my fists.

When a red-haired woman raced into the room, I became distracted. I let go of the man and went on to finish her off.
