12 Reorganization

I felt like I was in a pretty long dream. I saw Abraham. We spent many years together in the forest happily.

Until a wolf bit off his head.

I woke up in shock and gasped loudly. The door suddenly opened and Selina rushed in with a soup ladle in her hand. She sat next to me and hugged me with tears in her eyes.

I was home.

Feeling the familiar embrace, I couldn't hold back my grievances anymore. I hugged Selina and burst into tears.

Tears kept falling down my face. All the grief I'd never felt in my life poured out of my heart in a steady stream, burning my throat, stinging my heart, flooding my brain.

I cried until I was out of breath, as if this time I was going to use up all the tears I would ever have in my life.

Jeffrey came over without me realizing. He opened up his arms, wrapping them around Selina and I.

After so many years, I finally experienced the warmth of being protected by my parents again.
