A Rainy Day

With the annoying buzzing alarm Titli wakes up. After stopping the alarm she again pulled her duvet and slid under it . She doesn't want to wake up. Her dream was so good. Kookie was really with her. "I wanna sleep more" she spoke to herself with a sleepy tone. But alas! Her alarm again starts buzzing. Nope, she needs to wake up now.

While rubbing her eyes, she looked at the calendar. She gave a sigh. Today's schedule is really very tight. How she will fulfil her promise. Kookie never listens to her. To be honest , she also wants to fulfil her promise , after so many years she gets a chance to cook for kookie. He really loves the chicken made by her. But ... "Okay I will see this later, for now I have to get ready for work" . She told herself and went for shower.

Oh God ...I'm late again! ... Titli was gulping down the food. She hurriedly finished her food and ran to the bus stop.

Thank God ! She gets the bus just at the right time. After kookie comes back she feels her life becomes easier.

What a stupid I am! She blushed.

Another rainy day and the cafe is crowded. She took her apron and went to the counter.

" One Ice Americano Please !"

The sweet voice broke her attention from the order list. The voice is very known to her. Much to her surprise a smile appeared to her lips when she looked at the person.

"Ha Eun"! She spoke with a trembling voice.

" Titli! Wha...how ...!" Ha Eun is also very surprised to see Titli in front of her.

" Yeah! When you come back from the states ?" Titli asked.

" Just two weeks ago. How are you?" she spoke calmly .

" I see. I'm so happy to see..."

"One chai latte ".; Titli gets interrupted by another customer. She showed a corner table to Ha Eun and told her to wait for her. After a few minutes she took a break from her manager and went to Ha Eun.

– Hey!

– Hi!

– I missed you Ha Eun.

– I missed you too.

– Don't lie.

– I'm not lying.

– Then why didn't you contact me!

– I didn't keep in contact with anyone. I isolated myself.

– Why?

– Just took some time for me. By the way, you tell. What are you doing here ?

– Part time. I want to save money for my own business.

– Business? What about your study? You were a very bright student.

– Yeah studying Hotel management . Titli smiled and paused for a few seconds.

I wanted to open a little bakery...she spoke.

– Wow. That's cool.

– Thanks! What about you ? You become a doctor?

– Yeah..psychologist.

– Wow! So here? Are you working nearby?

She pointed to the opposite building of the cafe . Titli followed her gesture and spoke...

– Sign Language school?

– Yeah.

– You?...

– I visit there thrice a week.

– I see.

– So... What about Kookie?

– Oh Kookie... Yeah he came back.

Titli blushed. Seeing her blushing in a cute way Ha Eun smiled.

"I have to go now, getting late" she spoke again.

" Oh I see...ummm give me your contact number. I don't want to lose our connection.

Ha Eun smiles and exchanges their contracts.

"Here you go. Umm.. Titli..you remember Ye Jun?"

" Ye Jun..." Titli feels like she knows the person but again her thoughts get interrupted by her manager...

"Titli...please check the table number 16"..

"Umm its okay. I have to go now. Take care". With that Ha Eun left the Cafeteria within a blink.

Titli again gets busy with her work and forgets about the name Ha Eun mentioned before.

"What a tiring day!" Titli sighed after finishing her day there. She was waiting at the doorstep as it is raining again and she forgot to bring her umbrella.

"DUMBO! WEAR IT!" a voice came from behind her. She turned to catch the packet that the person who is standing in front of her just threw.

– Kookie! what are you doing here?

– A dumbo forgets her umbrella and raincoat in her home after living in this city for so many years! And you are asking me why I'm here!

– Shut up.

– learn other words and wear the raincoat.

She was wearing her raincoat when she noticed kookie is with his bicycle.

– Hop on.

– Hm?

– Hop on the back dumbo!

– Why?

– Don't you wanna go home?

– That's not the thing...but..

– Why? You forget our old ride?

– Nope.

– Then Hop on.

She sat on the back and hold kookie's coat from back.

– Ready?

– Yeah!

Kookie start paddling to his bicycle. While in the back Titli was enjoying the ride with the rain, Suddenly kookie crossed his break near a roadside rustic dumpling shop.

– Two plates!

Titli smiled. She was little bit hungry.

– aaa...dumbo...look food came. Kookie jumped over the food and take a bite quickly.

The hot sizzling dumplings reminded her to their teen days.
