The Game Continues

For the next days, we prepared everything we need for the event, from the clothes we will wear to the things we will say just in case someone will ask us a question. I'm still not confident with the plan. Maybe, Nancy is right. It is too soon for me to meet Geoff again.

"What are you thinking?" Nancy asked.

"What if we would get caught? After what I did to Ericka, I'm sure she is already planning on having her revenge."

"So, you want to back out? Just let me know if you don't want to continue with our plan. You know you always have my support."

"Thank you, Nancy. I'm just scared our plan won't be successful. I might put Colin in a bad situation if that happens."

"Your husband is richer than him, and I'm sure he also has more connections. If he finds out about your relationship with the owner of JBC Entertainment, do you think he will still lay his hands on you?"

"We're still not sure of that."

"Are we going to attend the opening or not? We have to make a decision now. I don't want to waste more time preparing if we won't be attending."

"Do you think I need to tell Colin about it? Or mom perhaps? I'm sure they will kill me if they find out."

"Excuse me? I'm also risking my reputation in here. Your husband and your mom believe that I'm your saviour, that you were able to escape from your terrible husband with my help. What would they think of me if they find out that I was the one planning for all these things?"

"I was the one who dragged you into this. Don't worry, they will never know how bitchy you are."

"Should we tell them we will go on a vacation for two days so they won't be asking where we will go?" Nancy suggested.

"Do you think that's necessary?"

"It will make both of us feel more relieved knowing that no one will be waiting for us to go home at night."

"Do you think mom won't get suspicious? And besides, I don't want to be far from Athena even for a day."

"She's safe here."

"What alibi should I tell Colin and mom then?"

"Do I have to tell you everything that you need to do? You also have to make a decision by yourself you know."

"Why are you becoming bossy these days?" I asked Nancy smiling.

"I'm the one planning here, meaning I'm your boss for now." Nancy explained and she is actually right.

That night, I had to gain courage to ask for Colin's permission for me to spend a night somewhere.

"Do you want me to give you a massage?" I asked.

"I don't want you to be tired."

"That's not tiring. Give me your hand." He then offered his left hand and I started massaging it. "Your hand looks beautiful. It is better than mine."

"What do you want?" He asked.

"Nothing."

"I know you. And if you want to give me some compliments, you must give me better than that. You can tell me how handsome I look, or how good I am in bed, or how great of a husband I am. How could you only think about how my hand looks?" He pretends to sound annoyed.

"Sorry. I am not used to doing that."

"We can practice. How do you think about my looks?"

"Not bad."

"Whatever you want, forget about it."

"You look handsome."

"I look handsome?"

"You are handsome. I like your brown eyes, your soft lips and your smell. I think I am addicted to your smell even though you're not wearing cologne. You have that certain smell that can turns me on."

"Getting better. How about my performance on bed?"

"It's okay."

"Just okay? Does that mean you were faking your reactions?"

"I don't want to talk about it. That's so embarrassing. Just say yes. Nancy and I are thinking to spend a night together in the city. You know, she never had a vacation since we left for Marshville and I also want to treat her for everything she did for me and Athena. I was planning to buy her something, but I don't think that would be enough, so I want to have a girl's night with her. We can stay in a hotel and have spa and makeover. And then we can drink the whole night in the hotel. Don't worry, we won't go out, we will just stay in the hotel. That's a promise. Is that too much?"

"Is it also too much for you to describe how I am in bed?"

"Yes. That is something I can't do."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't feel comfortable doing that. Anyway, you are the best. You know I was once married but I never experienced the things you did for me. Is that enough?"

"Okay, I will let that one go for now, but you have to prepare a more detailed description next time." He said smiling.

"So, can I and Nancy go next week? Do you think it will not be too much for me to ask for a night out without Athena?"

"You deserve a break. Athena looks very comfortable with your mom anyway, so I think there's nothing wrong with your plan. Just make sure you won't be hiring men to dance for you and Nancy."

"If you dance for me, I will appreciate it more."

"Should I?"

"Nope. Please. I don't want to have a nightmare."

"Wow! Okay, I won't show you my moves even if you beg."

"That will never happen."

That night, I slept with a feeling of contentment. I am lucky to have someone beside me at night, someone who would make me feel special and would trust me fully, even though I had to keep something from him. Sometimes, I feel guilty, but this is the only way for me to have my revenge without asking for his help. I was the one who was at this mess. I also have to have my revenge on my own.

My mom also agreed for Nancy and I to spend some time by ourselves.

"You have to do that. The two of you have been through a lot. Just make sure you won't be spending your time outside. Your ex-husband must still be looking for you." She reminded.

The day we have been preparing has finally arrived. After explaining to Athena that I would be gone for two days, she didn't even ask me why. She just said "okay" which made me feel a little hurt. She is now growing closer and closer to my mom and I can't blame her. Recently, I was preoccupied with my plan of having a revenge against my Geoff that I didn't have much time to play with her.

"We will play more when I come back, okay?" I promised.

"Okay."

After breakfast, I and Nancy packed our bags and left the building. We booked a room in a motel downtown using fake names. We had to make sure we won't be followed by either Geoff or Ericka after the event.

The opening event will be held in the new branch of Liberty Hotel. This is as big as the main branch and everyone is expecting for the opening. There are some famous celebrities visiting the event to show their support and some are hired as endorsers. They also promised to give a 50% discount to those who will avail their room and dine in their restaurants for the first two days from its opening date. Since it's a five-star hotel, many people are expecting for the discount. The hotel didn't allow advance reservations online. Those who want to avail of their promo have to go to the hotel and make a booking onsite. This will give everyone a fair chance of having the experience to stay in such a place. This rule created a buzz online. Many people think it is a good idea and many promised to go to the hotel on its opening day.

The CEO of Liberty Group, Geoff Han, became more visible in company events after his failed marriage. He was successful in creating a respectable image in the business world. He is admired by many on how he treats his staff regardless of their positions. He was known to be the most compassionate boss in the business world. There was a rumor that he and the wealthy heiress, Ericka Stewart are having a relationship but since the former is not yet divorce from his second marriage, they can't come out in public. There are people saying that he still couldn't forget her wife even though she betrayed him.

These are the details Nancy and I got about Geoff. At first, I wanted to call the editor of the newspaper who published a story about me, but I know it is useless. For other people, Geoff is the victim. I am the one who escaped from her with our baby and until now, I am still in hiding.

The story of him dragging me in the department store a couple of weeks ago never came out online. I remember seeing some people who were taking videos and pictures that time, but not even one came out.

With these in mind, I know that I am going against someone who is very powerful. Can Nancy and I pull off with our plan?
