Part: 6 ~ The Generals Loyalty

As the queen finished her sentence the red door opened again. Though Artemis is not the one who opened it. An ever so slightly taller man enters. The man seems to be around thirty-five years in age, with blond and caramel colored hair, he stands in charge and determined with a dark navy almost black military uniform that is adorned with metal medals, one depicts the Salvera emblem and a second medal that shows his ranking-a bright navy cross with twenty-three bright navy-blue lines under the cross. "Speaking about me now, are we Flories?" the man inquiries as he walks towards the table to take a seat to the right of the queen, where Artemis was sitting, and a seat left open. "May bring me one cup of the prince's favorite please. I need to have a drink to deal with the mess of a conversation that is about to occur." The man says as he leans back in his chair and smiles while checking out May. The man then adds "Looking as ravishing as always May." May answers the man, "Ace you know the prince cannot drink, I have no idea of what you are asking for." "Right, then a cup of the strongest whisky you got." The man responds. Flories clears her throat then exclaims, "Are you planning on getting drunk Ace. That is far from befitting a man of your status." "Well, you were the one who spoke of my involvement in Artemis' so-called adventures into Smithlington." Ace responds to the queen almost in hatred. Shiba quickly asks Ace, "What was the prince doing on the night of the king's murder?" "Who says the king was murdered to begin with." Ace chuckles as he takes the glass of whisky May had retrieved for him. Mary responds to the amused Ace, "Well if the king wasn't murdered why is he dead?" "I must plead to the criminatione law. You see, the cause of the king's death is classified information." Ace responds after taking a drink from his glass. May can be seen shaking her head at Ace in a sign of frustration towards his responses thus far. Ace who had been looking at May any chance he could get at says "Aww come on May have some fun every once in a while. Besides, you know how I see Artemis, and all he knows about me. I would never betray his trust or act in an un-loyal manner. Afterall for all you know Artemis could have sent me here to see what the public or his mother knows about his adventures. After all you and I are the only people that work for the Hemsworth family that know exactly what happened that night." "You should be aiming to keep it that way." May responds quickly. Ace begins to laugh, then exclaims "As serious as always May, let loose have some fun! You are going to die from a heart attack at this rate, my dear." Flories clears her throat, then looks Ace dead in the eye clearly done with his behavior and speaks "If you know so much why you not share some information of that night and help clear Artemis name with the selected. After all, they are not used to high society's life full of lies and pacts. If you wish to not comment then go home to your wife, she has been driving me mad asking for you." "How about I clear up Artemis' Wild Prince name." Ace negotiates with the queen. Shiba quickly joins the conversation, "He's called the wild prince because he has a short temper." Ace makes an ehh sound, like a wrong buzzer on a game show. May goes to clear the empty whisky glass in front of Ace, Ace then grabs her hand as she tries to grab the glass, "why don't you enlighten us May, the prince's loyal caretaker?" The selected look horrified at Ace's actions. May snatches the glass, getting her hand out of Ace's grip, and sighs deeply. "You win the battle, Ace. Though you know that I will win the war." May quickly responds as she traces her hand over Ace's head bumping into his round lion shaped ears. At that moment the white door at the end of the hall slams open, a beautiful and famous model walk's in, at the sight of this lady May quickly steps back from Ace and Ace begins to fix his coat. Canis looks around, and places the picture together, Ace is having an affair, and May is the other woman. It seems that Flories is unaware, almost in denial, and the rest of the selected have failed to notice May and Ace's behavior as odd, possibly blinded by unfamiliar behavior or environment around them. This model walks straight up to Ace and asks him, "When do you plan on coming home!?" "Well, I am the prince's right-hand man. I am the general. I am a busy man; you cannot expect me to be home every day." Ace quickly responds clearly in hatred towards his own wife. The woman then proceeds to ask, "well what are you doing, clearly this is not some meeting of the public's safety or our borders processing issues." Ace stands and looks the woman in the eye, "Artemis wants Echo to have a bath. Echo is quite the hostile wolf, he only trusts a select few. None of which are any of the non-busy palace workers, I must help restrain Echo so Artemis can bathe him. We were going to do that after lunch. Echo is quite the large wolf too. You cannot expect me and Artemis to bathe and dry such a larger beast with enough time left over for me to make it home. I just decided to stay the night." The woman takes a step back looking ashamed, "That makes perfect sense my love. I am sorry for doubting you." The woman then walks out the same way she came in. Silence falls in the room. Not a single sound or movement, not a single breath can be heard.
