Part: 10 ~ The Favorite

Flories turns to face the selected, all sitting still bewildered by Artemis un-prince like behavior. "I humbly apologize for my son's disrespectful and violent behavior. He can get quite cranky with lack of sleep, being crowned prince has taken a toll on him. Though I know this should not be seen as an excuse for his behavior. I assure you I will be speaking with him." "How prince like of him." Kathleenia remarks followed by a giggle, echoed by all the selected but Canis. Canis clears his throat and begins to stand. Flories looks towards Canis and asks "Where are you going young man?" Canis begins to explain himself anxiously and begins to sit down again, "Well on the question sheet we filled out for the prince, I mean Artemis, it said there was a library free to peruse. Since I enjoy reading I decided to go see the selection of books the library. I'm sorry if I got out of line for getting up and planning to leave." Canis ends his explanation with a shakiness to his voice. Clark begins to luagh, "What a nerd! Enjoying reading!" Canis tries to make himself look small, and Flories begins to talk over Clark's laughter "I have once quick announcement to make and then everyone can be on their way. Your family will be visiting in a few days. I hope it meet them and get to know the parents and other relatives of my sons potentially lovers." "Wait!" Mary shouts remember what Canis mentioned about having a note about the library on his card. "My card had no such information just some basic questions. What type of card did you receive Canis?" Mary exclaims, looking quite frustrated of Canis favored treatment from the prince. "A card just like the rest from May." Canis weakly states, as Flories grows in anger as she was interrupted by a mere commoner. Though Flories is anger is more likely targeted towards Artemis, his clear favoritism showing and ruining the selection. Kathleenia, Clark, and Shiba sit quietly as they see Flories grow with anger worse than her own outrageous son. Mary simply keeps talking and interrupting Flories, and Canis begins an attempt to hide himself as he attempted to prevent himself from falling into a panic attack. Eventually Flories snaps, "Where in the name of hell did you learn your manners! My son may allow such horrendous manners but I will surely not! It would be wonderous if you, Mary I believe it is, would stop interrupting me in the middle of my announcements. Would that be to much to ask of you?" Flories finishes her outburst quite satisfied with her response, but looks around to see fear in Mary's eyes alongside Canis who is hiding themselves with in their own hooded sweater. "I apologize for my outbrust that was unlafy like of me." Flories states as she stands up and does a curtsy in appolgy. Flories then nods and leaves the selected at the picnic blanket as she begins her way to the place to return to her work. Shiba also stands, "Well I guess we're free. What do we do now?" "Well I'm heading to the library." Canis softly responds as he too stands carefully. Canis makes a point to be as quiet and respectful as possible as he begins his way to the palace. Clark and Kathleenia run up to Canis, "What a nerd!" they taunt as they continue past Canis and into the palace. Mary and Shiba are slow to follow behind the others indoors, as they gawk and relish in the beauty of the palace main gardens. Canis reaches the mass glass door that leads in wards, and opens it. As Canis walks in he runs into Ace.
