1 The Beginning

"Lexy!" Her friend Elizabeth called out to her. Lexy ran over and hugged her. It was all summer that they haven't seen or contacted each other.

"Hey, Liz. I can't believe that we survived a whole summer with no contact. Although I was starting to go crazy, we still did it. The WHOLE summer." The girls got going to their homeroom to see who was in their class. They were excited that they were in the same class for the first time since fifth grade.

" Holy sh..." Lexy caught herself before she cussed. Although Liz knew something was up and ran over to her before asking "What's wrong Lexy. I heard what you were about to say."

" Mikey is in our homeroom and I wouldn't doubt all our other classes as well."

" Calm down, we don't have to let him know. I'll help you stay away from him the best I can." Ever since Lexy got a crush on Mikey, she never wanted for him or her ex to find out. Her ex was very abusive. If he found out Lexy wouldn't doubt that he would kill her. The girls went down the hall to find their friend Lily. They seen her up the hall heading towards her boyfriend's homeroom.

"Hey, Lily! Wait up!'' Lexy cried.

"Oh my gosh. Look who it is, miss Alexis Rodriquez. How are you." "I'm amazing. I have one of my besties in my class so that is a win for me. The part I lose at is how my crush is in our class. Anyhow we have to go to class, bye." With that the girls went back to their homeroom.

When the girls got to their homeroom they took the seats in the far back corner. That was the farthest away from Mikey. After several minutes someone came in their homeroom and that is when all hell broke loose.

"Oh my god!!!" Liz yelled. "LEXY TURN AROUND! IT'S YOUR EX TODD. You know the one that abused you yet nobody believe you..."

"YES!! I am aware of that." Lexy interrupted. The girls were shocked that he was even aloud back to the school after what he had done.

Later during homeroom, the girls got really really nervous about being in the same as Todd.

"Hey, Lexy. What's up. I thought you should know that I really missed you while someone made me well you know go away."

"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME. You never even tried to give me anything. You never even thought that you were hurting me. This was all about what you wanted from me. All I ever did was give to you and you took advantage of that. Why?? Please tell me. Explain your madness." Lexy said trying not to cry.

"Baby, I would never do anything to hurt you. I mean whoever split us apart will pay. And I mean deeply." Lexy and Mikey spent the next five minutes awkwardly starting at each other. Until Lexy finally got the courage to get up and leave.

The girls went to the park next to the their corner store after school. They were worn out by what had happened, that they needed a break from all that school drama.

"You know, maybe Todd was sorry for all that had happened." Liz said with a "maybe it's true" tone in her voice.

"ARE YOU CRAZY! DO I - DO I EVEN KNOW YOU ANYMORE! HE IS NOT! I KNOW IT! HE IS NEVER SORRY FOR ANYTHING HE DOES!"

"You never really had a good talk with him. Maybe you should try to get the full story on his side. I mean you always say there is two sides to a story, you only have one side and that's yours. He could have been hurting you without knowing that it was. If you find out his side of the story you might actually be sorry for doing all of this."

This was the first time they had fought in a while and had different opinions. But they knew that this was only the beginning.
