No one went outside unless they had to.

The servant girl took me to the back of the estate, where a greenhouse connected to every floor. That made no sense until we walked inside, and I felt the change in the air. It wasn't as humid or suffocating as the outside, but you could taste the filtration notes. There were rows of vegetables and fruit being grown here, and I wondered what was on the other floors. I had questions but chose not to ask the girl anything. She was already nervous enough around me. It didn't help that I was moving slowly, which doubled the length of the trip.

Leviathan was right. The main building was more extensive than an Amazon warehouse, and most was empty. Yet, there were so many servants cleaning and taking care of every inch of this place. Even my packhouse wasn't as big, and I didn't understand how one person could own so many rooms just to have them. It made no sense.
