She's a devil

"Where did you say she went?" Liveda was anxious as he asked the guard about Lucians's whereabouts. She was a trouble maker these days and although he ignored her , he still kept his eyes fully on her. She just arrived home, where did she disappear to. In the human world, she had no idea that he kept tracking her . 

The guard was trying to speak but he just kept stammering.

"Your Majesty... Luciana, I mean, Princess Luciana, followed a gentleman out of the palace." The guard said, making Emidio to his anger. Did he mean Carmalo?

"What!!! You let my sister go with a male out of the palace? I will have your head."

"Have mercy, Your Majesty. She didn't go with him directly. He had no idea she was following him.

"She was… stalking him," the guard explained nervously. Liveda nodded before leaving to retrieve his horse. He rode into the woods and heard Luciana's laughter. The male voice she was following belonged to Carmalo. Liveda had done a lot of research on Mari's family, and she knew nothing good could come from him.

"He's a player," his inner voice whispered. Just like you; his inner voice said to himself . He shook his head and used his horse to lock both Carmalo and Luciana from moving any forward while talking. 

"Luciana, on my horse now," Liveda commanded, and his sister climbed onto the horse's back. "And as for you, stay away from her," he spat at Carmalo.

"You shouldn't be the one telling someone to stay away from your sister. You clearly undress Mari with your eyes every time you see her," Carmalo retorted. Liveda couldn't help but chuckle in response. He was right about that. He put his hands up in defeat and rode back home with Luciana, leaving Carmalo behind.

"Brother... I'm sorry for lying to you. I followed him because I've seen him in the human world before. Besides, all his expressions prove that I'm not his type. He likes the fairy queen," Luciana said in a sad tone. Liveda was relieved to hear this. At least his sister was safe from getting a broken heart. After they arrived, Liveda headed straight to Mari's chamber, which was opposite his. It seemed as if the queen mother had planned this arrangement.

*Knock knock*

"Who is it?" Mari's sweet voice called out, and Liveda intentionally didn't respond. Mari asked again, "Who is it?" Since Liveda had multiple abilities, hi changed his voice to resemble his father's and said, "Open up, Lady Mariline. I need to discuss about my son with you."

"Your... Your Majesty, I'm sorry for the delay. I'll be right there," a sweaty and tensed Mari rushed and opened the door, and when she saw that it was Liveda, she pulled him inside with speed and rushed to her bed to pick up her teddies to throw at him.

Liveda couldn't help but laugh, which only seemed to make Mari more furious. It made him laugh even harder. As Mari realized the toys weren't working, she jumped on Liveda, and the two of them landed on the bed.

Mari started punching him, and he couldn't believe how this angelic girl could also be so violent. But amidst the laughter, Mari suddenly stopped and had a serious frown on her face. Their breaths washed against each other, and gradually, the frown disappeared. They gazed into each other's eyes. Wait, was Mari getting closer? Yes, she was. Liveda felt like his heart might explode. Mari was about to kiss him when a knock on the door ruined everything.

"Arghhh, who could that be again?" Mari was frustrated as he spoke. She stood up from him and went to open the door. The lady infront of her was drop dead beautiful and she held the most fumed face Mari have ever come across.

"Hello, miss. May I help you,?" Mari spoke, still admiring her.

"Where is Liveda? You boyfriend thief. I'm Brittney, and I'm soon to be his wife. Stay away from him, else your life will be miserable. Your family's reputation is already at risk. I will ruin you," Brittney threatened. Liveda jumped up from the bed as he heard her voice. He had heard enough. He rushed and stood beside Mari, who was shaking and crying while Brittney continued talking.

"Enough, Brittney. She is a guest here, and you will treat her as one, do you understand?" Brittney softened and placed her hand on Liveda's jaw, saying,

"Baby, why didn't you tell her that you are mine? We love each other a lot and will get married once we complete the Institute." She leaned in and kissed Liveda. Spulled him away from Mari's side and Liveda watched as Mari stood at the door, still observing them, as they walked away together. How was he to face her after this? So much for i won't betray you.
