1 Prologue

"Papa?" The five year old Grand Duchess, Natalia Alexandrea Romanov says as Tzar Nicholas Romanov the 2nd, walks up to his youngest daughter.

"Yes, my little Snowflake?" Tzar Nicholas asks while getting down to her level. Nicholas picks up Natalia. "I had a nightmare papa.." Natalia says looking at her father.

Nicholas walks out of his office with Natalia in his arms; Nicholas walks into the throne room and sits down on his throne. "Was it the same one that I had tonight?" Nicholas asks, holding Natalia close to him.

Little Natalia nods softly, as Nicholas puts his right hand on Natalia's cheek wiping away her tears that had started to come down. Natalia calms down slowly but surely.

Nicholas smiles softly stroking Natalia's cheek with his thumb softly. He starts to hum a small lullaby tune. He starts to sing softly "Where the North wind meets the sea

There's a river full of memory

Sleep, my Snowflake, safe and sound

For in this river, all is found.." he pauses as Natalia yawns softly and so does he. He continues "In his waters, deep and true…

Lie the answers and a path for you

Dive down deep into his sound

But not too far or you'll be drowned"

He smiles as Natalia hugs him tightly and he hugs back, after he gets up and starts to walk around the palace. He makes it to Natalia's room.

Nicholas sits on Natalia's bed with her in his arms, as he continues "Yes, he will sing to those who'll hear

And in his song, all magic flows

But can you brave what you most fear?

Can you face what the river knows?"

Tzar Nicholas yawns softly hugging Natalia and keeping her close to him as he finishes his lullaby for her. "Where the North wind meets the sea

There's a father full of memory

Come, my Snowflake, homeward bound

When all is lost, then all is found…"

Natalia falls asleep snuggling up next to her father and he falls asleep keeping his little Snowflake close to him, protecting her from anything and anyone that were to harm her. And his family.
