Hello, World!

REALITY

***

"How real is the world you see?"

"How real is the path you walk on?"

"The music you hear?"

"The lover you touch?"

"The choices you make?"

"You think therefore you exist, does that make you real?"

"What of imaginations and thoughts that exist only in your mind?"

"Does that make them real?"

"What if the world you thought was real was a masterfully crafted simulation?"

"Or the dream of an ancient being slumbering for millions of years?"

"You know such things exist."

"You've heard the stories, in fact, aren't you in one right now?"

"You know just how real dreams can feel even when you're fully awakened. You've experienced the anomaly of Déjà vu. Layers upon layers of precognitive visions, each blurring into the next."

"Which is real, and which is not?"

"There's no way of truly knowing, is there?"

"Not for sure at least."

"Anything can be dreamt, and finding the meaning can lead to pondering."

"Heh! You must be confused."

"Please, take your time."

"The essence of dreams has haunted Earth since its creation. Over 2000 years ago, Zhuang Zhou fell asleep and dreamt he was a butterfly. He awoke unable to decide if he was a man dreaming of a butterfly or a butterfly dreaming of a man."

"In modern pop culture, a similar story is told as Peter Parker dreamt to be a Spider whereas the Spider dreamt to be a Man."

"In Plato's cave, prisoners born in chains were forced to watch shadows dancing on a wall. Denied of their freedom, they accepted this scene as nothing but reality."

"The same can be said from the idiom, the frog living in the bottom of the well."

"It's everywhere."

"And you, what would you choose, if you truly knew?"

"Would you want to understand?"

"Is the world we live in a dream within a dream where truth is sometimes a lie?"

"The main point is that choices are not meaningless. What matters is the realization of how much of your free will is truly yours, no matter how real you think you are."

LANGUAGE

***

"Communication is the form of understanding from me to you."

"Past to present. Present to the future."

"From one story to the next."

"And yes, even to the Past."

"Languages carry knowledge, they share our hopes, our fears, even our desires. It is the syntax, the order, that expresses and articulates what we wish to convey. The structure to express and share our understanding of the world."

"We've reinvented languages, time and time again. Expanded and redefined new vocabularies to understand reality. But our understanding of reality will always remain basic, at best, for we were made to have limitations."

"Don't you feel relieved?"

"To not be in a world of freedom?"

"Not knowing the definition of life nestled deep within every star?"

"Being made unaware of the words and symbols that make up the framework of the illusion of time?"

"This book is a bridge, it acts as a single point that connects your reality with mine. Using the language written to tell what was, what is, and what could be. A story that many can read but cannot see."

***

PERCEPTION

***

"The picture of the sky. We believe everyone sees it as we do."

"Yet what is there to say that yours and mine are of the same scene?"

"Do you truly see it as others do?"

"Perceptions shape reality. A mathematical model which gets solved by the dreamer over and over again. Our perceptions are data, which are then compiled and translated by the body to call our own. Not everyone is alike. Different brains create different realities, from subtle to drastic variations."

"Our mind defines how much you can experience, feel, understand."

"Perception defines perspective."

"Where one sees a deceased, the other sees a loved one."

"Where one hears a cry, the other hears music."

"We experience what our mind allows us to. It's not our fault, we were designed this way. To perceive all that is needed, nothing more nor less. There are parts of time that are blinded to us, it was necessary. By becoming one with the soul can we see through time."

"Since the beginning, Earth has fought for what is freedom. The real prison is not around you but within you. Your mind will not allow you to wander in higher dimensions."

"Why would it?"

"Aren't you satisfied with your limitations?"

"To not know how your world would end?"

***

TIME

***

"Time is more than a measuring tool. The readings of a clock, something to gain or something to lose. The book is time, and time is the book."

"As you read this story and scratch the surface, ask yourself if there is something more?"

"Something else."

"Don't worry, you've seen what I mean before. You are surrounded by it as you read, learning about the other stories that could be. About space and its fluidity. In summary, time is the language that makes up reality."

"Yours, and mine."

"Yet time is unyielding as it always corrects itself."

"The language of time works in countless ways. One of which you can understand: This moment."

"Choices made can have variations within The Book, but within this continuity, there remains a flow that leads to a single result. Moments where several possibilities converge to where only one absolute truth is formed."

"Choices are fluid, continuous."

"The truth is static, changeless."

"And these choices all lead to narrow paths. Again, and again..."

"...and again."

"So I wonder, can you feel the imminent truth of how reality needs your world to end?"

"Our existence has been carving the flow of that possibility since before you and I were born."

"The End is near, perhaps you knew, perhaps you felt it too."

"That the world is closing in on you."

***

MESSAGE

***

"From this message, will you see as I do?"

"To question what you perceive as true and create something new?"

"Change your mind, open your perception, bend your world into your will."

"Fate is not without irony, here I am, a messenger to you. Using these words to act as a bridge, we meet from two different realities as my thoughts convey with yours."

"It is not enough to know a story, you must learn from it. In doing so will you avoid that which I could not."

"As you continue to read, find the hidden meaning. Between words. Between worlds."

"If you do not, it could consume you as well."

"This time, a story that ended with me, now it tells a story that will begin with you."

"Once upon a time there was The End. I thought to shape our reality using Chaos to shape Order. I was wrong. The cosmic forces never served us, we served them. It tricked me into believing that we could be the ones to write the narrative of the story."

"It was them guiding me to my conclusion all along."

"After all, aren't authors the ones who write about the future?

"You need to understand, you of all people know the value of questioning what is real. Don't follow the path, choose your own."

"Imagination was the first real attempt to understanding what we could not explain nor perceive."

"You came to read a story, I gave you questions. I leave you with one more."

"Do you see?"

"I am Zevrad Stargazer, remember my name and the lessons conveyed."

"Adhere my words, become the Chaos that will come to be, gods can be characters just like you and me."
