2 Episode 2: Too Late!

"Fuck!"

-Was the only word she understood as almost everyone she had met used that word for everything.

A lying corpse in front of her, a lightsaber that wouldn't go off, a murder on hand.

This was without any doubt the worst day ever for Val.

<Command to Lord Sith Juàn, asking for assistance at Location BZ2 for the kidnapping of the Prince Veldun of Drakan. End!>

And which sounded like a female voice from a radio inside the corpse's pocket, Val still didn't understand.

But the name of that someone she knew was heard and she understood.

That man was not alone and he was to have some affair with the Prince Veldun, assumed Val.

But the fact that the man wanted to harm Val made her think; what if the man's companion wanted to harm the Prince Veldun.

<Command to Lord Sith Juàn, are you there? End!>

Again, but time, Val didn't get it entirely.

Picking up the radio, she thought about it.

She had to give a response that the man would.

After having heard words of extreme conplexity in the past, she had learnt to replicate their sound.

And over a radio, it would pretty much sound like this:

"I-be ther soot-fucker..."

The quality of the radio made it seem like the sentence Val said normal.

<Command to Lord Sith Juàn, Message Received. We will be awaiting your presence before launching the attack on the Royale Palace>

And it was done.

Was Val sure of what was said and what happened-No!

The fate of her life had changed with that one message as she indirectly messed with some important's life.

The sun gone, the planet wad plunged into a deep and cold darkness.

The cadaver hadn't moved an inch.

And Val knew no one would come as the radio didn't activate again.

As the fatigue kept bugging her, she let sleep overtook her.

And this was when it all started to change for her.

The talk over the radio, the confidence in herself, the dead on her hand.

It would all come right back at her someday.

And it was during her dream.

She met a dark figure that wielded a green lightsaber.

A metallic arm holding the saber, a cape hiding the face of the latter.

She was scared.

For some reason, it all seemed real.

As the caped man ran towards Val, she found out she couldn't move at all.

She was paralyzed.

Unable to move an inch.

Unable to wake up from this nightmare.

And she knew that she would have died if she had kept on dreaming.

All her life, Val ran away.

She feared others, as no one wanted to be next to her.

She was special, as she thought more than twice into something than normal adults.

Her capacity to guess something easier than everybody saved her life a countless number of times.

But this time, she felt something different.

A Will to defend herself for once.

Bleeding from the left eye, Val moved her left arm miraculously and pulled the caped latter in to her.

Grabbing the caped guy to the neck, Val broke it off as soon it tried to fend off.

It was a surreal moment and the next moment:

"Nightie-Nightie, Kiddo! Looks like you got yourself right into a mess by murdering the Prince Of Drakan, his majesty, Geoffroy Rī."

A silver arnour and a male voice, at gunpoint, Val knew it was the ones that were talking over the phone.

"First, Juàn fooled me as he got killed easily by the stupid prince. And now, a little hoe that killed the prince played with me.. The boss isn't going to like it at all."

And this time, it was the woman that was talking over the device, thought Val.

Keeping her words to herself, Val knew that she was in a bigger mess than what she thought.

Was it too late for her or was her dream a premonition to what could happen?
