Larne and pride (2)

Briella Emine was the daughter of the Duke of the Emine Duchy.

The Duchy had the most disciplined Army in the Southern Region, the Army is so disciplined and Feared because everybody from when a child learns how to walk to an elderly person, everybody is trained and armed, the children there don't play hide and seek like normal children instead imitate Warfare, everybody regardless of who you are from a Baron to the Duke's son has to attend the Cadet Academy, the people are all stubborn people, from beggars to their Duke.

Because during the war between the Trinite Empire and the Trade Alliance, due to its proximity to the Empire wanted to pass through the Duchy to attack the Alliance Army from the rear but the then Duke refused and the Trinite Empire sent it finest and most elite Legion to teach the Duke a lesson.

The Empire sent 150,000 men to Duchy so that when they were done with Duke, they can go on and attack the Alliance Army from the rear but out of the 150,000 men sent to Duchy only 15, 752 men managed to survjve and escape out of the Twelve Sword Lords sent to attack the Duchy, only three came back alive with one hanging on his last breath, the war came to a halt.

When the then Trinite Emperor Micheal the third asked the surviving soldiers what happened, the soldiers had fear in their eyes.

Many soldiers reported

"The most difficult soldiers I have ever faced in my life", the soldier swore with fear evident in his eyes that the Alliance Army soldiers were

not even half of a soldier of the Army there.

Another surviving soldier said "Even a teenage child fights like a well trained soldier with a sword"

Another soldier reported saying; The girls even fight in wars!, some girls with muscular bodies fight on the forefront, some girls with their normal frail body shoots arrows like they are veterans on the field and the last percent of girls will run to the forefront from the rear and start to treat injured soldiers. I have never seen anything like that!

But what most surviving soldiers said was that the leaders of their squads, companies and legions even tabulate the numbers of soldiers killed and then shares rewards according to the corresponding ranks of the soldiers they killed, so you see a soldier before dying killing two enemy soldiers or even killing their killers back.

The Surviving soldiers lamented saying that with 30,000 soldiers, Emine Duchy defended and even took the offensive to attack taking some towns, cities and several hundreds of villages from the Empire.

Trinite Micheal III had a secret meeting with the Duke and made some compensations to the Duke and asked for part of his territory back but the Duke refused saying " the lands are now my spoils of war, if you want them, let's go to war". For the first time in history of the Elysium Continent, the Trinite Empire conceded and this brought the Emine Duchy to limelight.

But 'Pride' was from there and what she came to do in Nornak City no one knew but during the second meeting between Larne and 'Pride', Pride was returning home and just want to inform Larne who was now her Liege, but unexpectedly Larne brought the whole gang.

Then, the gang that had around 20 members but by the time they reached the Duchy, they already 29,000 convoy members, in then convoy, Larne had already started to move with his masterplan which was to make firearms, build an indestructible and impenetrable city, an unstoppable Army and Larne for who he was wanted to use Emine Duchy as a starting point but when 'Briella' broke the news that she was the Princess of the Duchy, she and Larne almost had a disagreement but 'Wrath' had to step in to settle the disagreement between the two and Pride and Larne ironically became closer from friends to lovers during their stay in the Duchy.

Another twist happened and Briella got so agitated because her parents wanted to get her married to another Duke's son so because of that she asked for Larne's help and asked him to help her to succeed the throne, and as a reward "unlimited access to resources as long he did it for her Duchy's benefit".

Larne was so overjoyed and started with his plan by having Sade 'Nightshadow' who had darkness attribute CoreEnergy to go with his guards so as to borrow equipments from Academies and kidnap famous professors known for their study of the goblins, dwarfs, and giants firearms.

By the time Larne started putting his plan and preparations in place and building water-powered engines to help in streamlining the process and manufacture of steel because he already noticed that to make a soldiers full armor, it took two weeks and that if they last, so Larne made 'converters' to make the manufacturing of steel faster and had them build 'Furnaces' to convert the continent's Iron ore which took a whitish colour and with the help of CoreEnergy, the equipments to start producing steel was ready within a week of stay jn the Emine Duchy.

Also in the process of helping Briella take the throne by asking to plot against her brother by having exiled and inflicting illnesses on her father.

And now finished the own plot by using their newly formed Legion of 18,000 men because out of the 29,000 people, only 18,000 volunteered the Legion, within five months of their stay in Emine Duchy, Briella subjugated her Father's personal Army and the Duchy's Army with her own Army with the Stainless Steel Armors Larne made for her Legion which she named 'Pride', Pride Legion actually swept through the Duchy, the people tested the "Pride" Legion, the Army trusted in her personal Legion.

She killed her Father when still refuse to give her Duchy's throne despite her merits earning her the name 'The Cold Butcher' because she killed her own brother even when he had been exiled.

Now, she got what she needed but not what she wanted, so during a night when Larne was studying the Dwarfs firearms which were shaped like "modern day pistols" but with low accuracy and high temperatures. The goblins firearms were shaped like "modern day double-barrelled guns" and the giants firearms were shaped like "l5th century cannons but this one was shaped in a long cylindrical ways with the handles instead on the ground were shaped into a small gun's style". Briella aka Pride snuck into Larne's room.
