"So, mind if you tell me why you all want Yue Jiejie with me?"

When Xiao Muchen asked her about it, her face fell and the nervousness started show off on her face.

"Actually, she just means that we both wanted Yue to come with us. It just doesn't matter where she sits."

Song Yenay cleared the air a bit and Xiao Muchen just shrugged off his doubt to keep the good environment maintained. Song Yenay then placed Ai down and kneeled down in front of her to see directly into her eyes.

"Ai Ai, what did I tell you? What should you say after you get what you want?"

"You taught me to use magical words."

When her mother gestured to her with her eyes, Ai Smith smiled back at her and walked near Xiao Muchen.

"Thank you, handsome uncle. I am very grateful that you helped us to get Jiejie with us for your work."

More silence ensued, as everyone heard what she spoke to the devil and honestly waited for something to hear from him but then to everyone's surprise, Xiao Muchen let out a soft laugh.

"You kids, how do you know how to speak too much and all nonsense at the same time? I just can't believe you are just five years old. You are perfectly fit to take my grandma's place."

Both the girls took a sign of relief as soon as Xiao Muchen discarded any hint that could have got him from Ai's thank you speech. Wang Yue however only thought of a single response.

Even though the thing that happened was to her liking, Wang Yue still felt she ditched her partner in crime to be with her life partner when she looked at the way of little Ai who was pouting with anger. The little girl wanted to see how Xiao Muchen treated Wang Yue.

"What was the need to go in different cars when We could have adjusted in one car? I think she is feeling bad that I am not with her right now."

Wang Yue spoke up as soon as she saw Ai Smith waving her hand towards her from another car.

"Wang Yue, I don't want you to get attached to Ai Ai too much. It won't do any good."

Xiao Muchen's whole attention was directed outside the car, finding something that Wang Yue wasn't able to understand.

"Are you even listening to what I just asked you!?"

Wang Yue held Xiao Muchen's arm as she shifted near him to make him take her question seriously. But when he turned to her, all her courage left her body when she felt his hot breaths on her face.

"Yes, I know what you are saying. I can't ignore you!"

Xiao Muchen said those words to Wang Yue but she felt as if he was telling himself more than her. His eyes stared at her chocolate-brown orbs like searching for something but restricted himself, moving his head in front.

Wang Yue's hands removed the grip on his arm slowly and moved away from him so lightly that he would not know she moved but who she was kidding, he sensed her movement forthwith.

"Just don't get attached, Wang Yue. I am telling you for good…"

He tried to say but she felt so offended that she snapped out cutting him.

"For whom?"

"What?"

He enquired not knowing what to answer.

"For whom will it be good? For her or me?" She breathed out with a frown on her face.

"Wang Yue, you are misunderstanding me!"

Xiao Muchen answered quickly and Wang Yue turned to him fully but when she tried to speak, the car's brake screeched in their ears and before Wang Yue could understand anything she got pushed ahead of her seat.

She waited for the pain on her forehead by the front seat but that never came. She felt the soft pad of the palm against her forehead stopping her from getting hurt. She sat back in her previous position and opened her eyes looking at Xiao Muchen.

"Thank you! But this must be hurting!?"

She said taking his hand in her hand knowing it must be hurting from the impact.

"You didn't put on your seatbelt."

Xiao Muchen said and immediately moved to her side to pull the seat belt against her body. Wang Yue's eyes widened when she felt his face just inches apart from hers face. The whiff of his sandalwood aroma played with her lungs making her heart skip a beat.

But as soon as Xiao Muchen's gaze met hers, it locked until they heard the driver honking the horn for another car to move out of their way.

"Wang Yue, I need to keep you safe from all the troubles until you are here. I never wanted to take you with us but Ai Ai wanted you to be with you and…"

"And what?"

"And I felt that you wanted to come with us."

Wang Yue settled back in her seat a little more relaxed than before and spoke up her mind.

"I know, I can understand why you asked me to be with you but I got worried about her and argued with you just back then. I am sorry!"

Hearing Wang Yue's truthful words something churned inside Xiao Muchen's pit and he sat back straight in his seat.

"Security is tight for them in that car but I wasn't able to send you with them. Thank you for understanding me but you are my responsibility now and don't want anything to go wrong."

"Yes, I understand."

Soon the driver took the right turn to go off the highway and they changed the road that soon took them to their destination in the mountains.

"You know I love mountains. I love the slow wind that blows my hair while the smell of trees makes me feel alive."

As their journey started, slowly they started to talk about different topics, they never knew about each other.

"Hey, sleeping beauty! Get up. We need to have dinner otherwise they will close their restaurant."

Song Yenay's smooth voice lingered in Wang Yue's ears and she tried to open her heavy eyes. She rose up from the bed and rubbed her heavy eyes to open them to see the intruder but before she could even get hold of it, her wrists got captured.

She snapped open her eyes and looked at the beholder of her wrists and pink tinted her cheeks like someone splashed pink colour on them.

"I know you are sleepy and can't open your eyes but take time to let them adjust. Never rub them with your hands! Your eyes are too precious. You get me, Princess!"

Xiao Muchen said and Wang Yue gulped down the drool that formed when she saw the most handsome face in front of her eyes as soon as she opened her eyes.

She nodded in acknowledgement of what he said without even knowing what he just told her. He smiled looking at her and then moved out of the room leaving her with Song Yenay who was all amused seeing them like that.

"What was that?"

"Well, that was Xiao Muchen who was going possessive over your beautiful brown eyes. I guess you are going to get a lot of lectures on how not to hurt yourself."

Wang Yue tore her gaze from the locked door of some hotel room and looked at the source of voice. Song Yenay just giggled clapping her hands together as she remembered what she just witnessed.

"Yenay Jiejie, what are you talking about?"
