~Chapter 14 Dustin's POV~
The walk was calming and peaceful. The changing colors of the leaves are beautiful. Blaze and I had some chats to pass the time. Oliver was jumping around with energy and was sniffing every person we passed. When I was caught up staring at a tree I didn't realize I started to cry. Blaze asked me if everything was okay.
I smiled and said "I'm fine, I just don't remember the last time I was this happy." I really am very happy that Blaze helped me. The walk was going pretty well and we were telling each other more about ourselves. He really is a nice person but him being that nice makes him naive. To be honest I could have been a serial killer and just pretending to be hurt and he would brush it off. No wonder he became the Alpha of his Pack he is smart, handsome, and easy to get along with.
I haven't walked like this in a while so I need to take a break every now and then. To be honest my brain has nearly been fried with everything that has been happening lately. On top of that Blaze has to introduce me to the Pack Elders. I think they will say we will be able to get married since there are barely any omegas left and let alone a male omega. Blaze also wants me to meet his friend. Most omegas are protected, the others are abandoned. Some omegas have to do things that ruin their morale and self worth just to bring in a paycheck.
Then they have the ones who are used in experiments in exchange for a safe place to live. It all disgusts me how people treat omegas because of their difference. The other omegas are already mated and protected by their alphas. To be honest I don't see why omegas are treated like pests because they help build the future for a pack. I wish there is a better option than those things for omegas. Who knows now that I have the help of Blaze I could possibly help them in some way.
I glanced around for a place to sit to sort through my thoughts and take a little break and then I saw a bench. I went over to the bench and sat down. When Blaze looked at me before sitting down I noticed he had an upset look on his face. I wonder what is bothering him. Maybe it has something to do with pack business since he probably went back to work while I was asleep. Then Blaze spoke up, "Dustin I have something to give you." Between him looking upset and now he has something to give me I'm now confused. "What is it," I asked him. Then I realized that sounded rude so I said sorry. "W-wait no I don't mean it like that sorry that sounded rude and demanding.
I didn't mean to sound like that." It was embarrassing hearing him laugh at me freaking out. Then he reached in the pouch of his sweatshirt. He spoke before he pulled the item out. "I know this is going to be awkward but please bear with me." Blaze told me before pulling out a small black box with two rings in it. It must have been expensive because there was even a designer name engraved on the box.
Wait is that what I think it is. Blaze then said. "Here are our couple rings. So no one will bother you at your college and to make everything official." I felt my face heat up. This is embarrassing. He is giving me a ring out in public. I never knew he was such a romantic I felt a sudden rush of gratitude and affection. "Thank you so much Blaze. There is no way I will ever be able to repay you for the kindness and love you have shown me." I told Blaze. Blaze just brushed it off and said it wasn't a problem.
Maybe I am the romantic one here. Maybe I'm the Omega head over heels in love with the Alpha. Like some cliche romance novel. Blaze was looking into my eyes, the gaze was almost like he could see my soul. I leaned a little bit forward and so did Blaze. I closed my eyes slightly and leaned a little bit forward with Blaze. Then I kissed him. The kiss was something like I had never felt before and it signaled that our relationship is real and was just starting. When I pulled away.
Oliver was making a cute little barking sound. He was like our own little cheerleader, As long as we have Oliver with us then our relationship will be supported. The Blaze said something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. He said "I love you Dustin."
