7 Allies Part 2 Chp 7

#EMMA FROST POV#

"This is getting annoying," I say while manipulating the mind of a mutant hater to agree to all of the terms of the contract that we were signing

Sending him away quickly enough was an understatement

I have no time for fools

I make my assistant bring me some wine to cool down a bit

This is a shitshow

Finally, I sip on my wine as I have my next appointment in half an hour with someone called Aiden Kent

I narrow my eyes as I go over the information that I have on him

Which shows that he is not really something out of the ordinary

Average grades, and average looks although he is or was a bit obese before from what I have seen in recent pictures shows that he underwent some changes, which may be an indication of him being a mutant but, he does not trigger the Sentinels, which proves that he is not one.

Thinking about the mutants I think about my own situation

I have my own school that I have barely managed to keep out of the crossfire as I find more mutants that can help me

But, some of them have begun to question me on my decisions as I only go and get mutants that have some measure of power while I leave the rest behind

I have no choice

I am constantly looking for new sources of income, and the ones that have destructive powers require constant monitoring as their powers are difficult to control

If I were to go after every gamma-level mutant I would need to use precious resources that I can barely gather

Soon my meeting with this, Aiden Kent arrives, and holy shit

I use my telepathy on myself to control my reaction as I begin to feel a little warmer

He has raven-black hair that looks incredibly smooth and if I focus enough, I can see some streaks of brown hair, his eyes are a bluish color with hints of silver in them, an incredibly chiseled jaw, and he is definitely not obese anymore, as I can see how broad his upper body is.

I hold myself back from reacting as much as possible

"Hello, Miss Frost," He begins with a deep but gentle voice" I am Aiden Kent, as you already know and I am here with an offer...a way to find mutants a new home to call their own" he finishes and I am alert as I try to enter his mind and while I...somewhat succeed, I can't make heads or tails at what it is that I am looking at

His thoughts are not something I can understand and if that isn't enough they are moving fast, fast enough that I can barely even see some symbols

I am drawn back to reality as I see him staring at me with a raised eyebrow

"Who are you?" I ask him

"Someone trying to help your kind," He says kindly before his face hardens

"So, I would appreciate it if you don't invade my privacy," He comments while I compose myself he says in a stern tone that nearly makes me shiver

Who is he?

"Now, as I said before I am willing to find the mutants a new home for them to live in. I know that you only have a certain number of mutants which is why I want you to get me in contact with Erik Lensherr otherwise known as Magneto," He says and I narrow my eyes at him

"You surely know a lot that you shouldn't," I comment as Magneto has a group of Telepaths that actively suppress information about his little island and him that he raised from the bottom of the seafloor

"I know a lot of things Miss Frost," He says with a small smile while I think about his little idea

"What did you mean about a new home?"I ask a bit more curious about him and his offer as my question made him turn serious

"Earth doesn't want the mutant here. What I am proposing is taking the mutants away from the Earth," He says and I raise my left eyebrow at the sheer courage to say something like that

"How exactly are you thinking of taking us out of Earth?" I ask mockingly to which he just brought something out of his breast pocket and put it on my table and pressed it

"With this," He answered as I blink at the holographic projection of a crablike machine

"This is something that I call the World Engine," He begins to explain"It is a machine capable of terraforming worlds. This is what I plan to use on a planet on the solar system in order for the mutants to make a new world for their own," He says while the hologram shows what it is doing to a planet

"Wait, but wouldn't the distance to the sun be an issue?" I ask as while I may not be the smartest person out there, I did get my Ph.D.s

"While that would be a problem, due to the world engine itself, the planet could be somewhere like Mars and the atmospheric issues would be solved by the world engine itself. As it makes the atmosphere resemble that of Earth despite it being at a much further distance, allowing for the growth of the same lifeforms on Earth to exist on Mars," He answers I am still skeptical as I did not see my day going like this

I sigh as we continue our talks and what is offering mutant-kind but one final question that I want to ask is...

"Why do you want to help mutant-kind?" I ask him

"Because as much as humans try to see mutants as monsters. When in reality they are looking at a mirror," He begins while getting his little projector back

"Normal humans could only ever dream of having abilities like a mutant. From what I have been able to gather. Most normal humans kill mutants out of sheer jealousy. Women with an active X-gene are on average at least three times more beautiful than their normal average counterparts. Same case with the males as on average they are at least three times more handsome," He says and I furrow my eyebrows at that as it is something that I never considered before

"Mutants have a much easier time staying healthy, have a better immune system, and are stronger and faster. The Hayflick limit of the average mutant is 70 to 90 times as opposed to a normal human's limit of 40 to 60 times. Most human experimentation on mutants is focused on granting the benefits provided by the X-gene. Yet, have you never wondered the reason why they ignore the fact that around 93% already have something that can be said to be a blueprint for X-gene coded into their DNA that won't manifest until their children, grandchildren, or very likely, their great grandchildren," He says and then it finally clicks into my head

"While most humans do not actually have an X-gene in them. They have the proverbial blueprint for the X-gene which in a few generations will be manifested in their descendants," I say in a bit of shock as Charles has delved deeply into this subject yet has not discovered it although, he did rely on Hank a lot, but he is gone now, which caused Charles to become depressed for a time

"Exactly," Aiden answers and I am taken aback by all this quiet overwhelmed

While Erik, Charles, and I have scientists working for us, and while we can hold our own, we don't have anyone with the same skill in genetics as Hank Mccoy

"So, I get you a meeting with Erik, and then...you help mutant-kind?" I ask a bit nervous as I have been since this entire meeting began

"Yes, get me a meeting with Erik Lensherr and I will assist the mutants that you are currently taking care of," He says

"Thank you, but you still haven't answered my question, though, why do you want to help mutants?" I ask again

"To be honest, sadness," He answers and I stare at him

"Why?" I ask but he stands up

"Farewell, Miss Frost," He says as he leaves a card on my desk and he leaves

#AIDEN KENT POV#

I arrive at my home around 15 minutes later feeling quite accomplished with myself at how the meeting went with Emma Frost went

Hopefully, she can get me a meeting with Erik

The man wants to see his race prosper and I know that it is not something that can be done on Earth

Although I can't quite create the World Engine on Earth, I can create it in space

I can only hope that Emma will get me in contact with Erik if not, I will go to him

First impressions are everything

(N/A: I am back guys although, I am still quite bruised up, I am back home.)
