Chapter 2

I finally finished my daily workout routine and collapsed onto the ground, panting heavily. The screen in front of me disappeared, and I took a moment to catch my breath. The wild hills stretched out before me, their beauty and mystery calling out to me. I knew I had to continue my journey to the east, towards the academy.

As I packed up my camping gear and shouldered my bow, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The academy was rumored to be a place of great knowledge and adventure, and I couldn't wait to explore its vast grounds. But first, I needed to find some food to replenish my energy.

I ventured deeper into the hills, my eyes scanning the surroundings for any signs of movement. Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound coming from a nearby bush. Instinctively, I crouched down and slowly approached, trying not to startle whatever creature was hiding within.

To my delight, a small rabbit emerged from the bush, its ears twitching nervously. I quickly notched an arrow onto my bowstring, taking careful aim. Time seemed to slow down as I released the arrow, watching it soar through the air and strike the rabbit's abdomen with precision.

With my catch secured, I set about building a fire and preparing the rabbit for cooking. The aroma of the seasoned meat filled the air, making my stomach growl in anticipation. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the hills, I sat down to enjoy my meal.

The meat was tender and flavorful, satisfying my hunger and providing much-needed sustenance. I saved half of the rabbit for later, stowing it away in my inventory portal. With a full belly, I set up my sleeping bag and settled down for the night, the sounds of nature lulling me into a peaceful slumber.

As the morning sun rose, casting its golden rays across the landscape, I woke up feeling refreshed and ready to continue my journey. Just as I was about to pack up my belongings, a screen appeared in front of me, displaying a list of daily quests. It seemed that the system was determined to make me stronger, even in this world.

I read through the quests, which consisted of push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Although they seemed simple enough, I soon discovered that they were more challenging than I had anticipated. I pushed myself to complete each exercise, feeling my muscles strain and my body grow stronger with each repetition.
