Lucifer looked over the great lake in interest as he and Salazar rode past its sandy banks, wondering what sort of creature inhabits the notorious lake at this time period.

He recalled that it was home to many fantastical beasts such as grindylows, merfolk, and the notorious Kraken in canon. But were these creatures indigenous to the lake or were they moved there after Hogwart's inception?

Salazar looked up towards his apprentice as he seemed to be in deep thought, his gaze seemingly observing the great lake in intense focus. He was about to inquire what occupied his apprentice's mind when he was interrupted by a sound that instantly made his eyebrows furrow in consternation.

Salazar sighed in annoyance as he heard the screech of an eagle approach, the thunderous flaps of its wings already giving away the fact that it was his friend's trusty Hippogryff mount, his suspicions being confirmed by the loud boisterous laughter erupting from up above.

"Keep cool, and whatever happens don't challenge him in any sort of way" he whispered to his apprentice at his side, his mood souring further when he saw that Lucifer only seemed amused at the situation.

"Sallyboy! Back from your travels so soon?" came the mans greeting in a deep baritone tone of voice as he landed in front of the duo, Salazar resigned himself to the humiliation of that accursed nickname being brought up in front of his new apprentice as he replied.

"Yes Godric, I made an unexpected windfall that more than made up for my cut short expedition" he sighed as he gestured towards Lucifer.

The now named Godric turned his head where his 'best friend' gestured, his eyes widening as he saw the biggest lion he had ever laid eyes on, its fur was such vibrant ivory with a glorious mane framing what truly was a face of deadly grace.

It was when he raised his eyes from the mighty beast to what was obviously riding it that his eyes goggled as he took in a man of such ethereal beauty, with his fair skin and elegant features he truly was a man of art. but as he took in the mans white hair matching that of his trusty steed, and the crimson eyes twinkling in amusement that his jaw truly dropped.

What kind of being had Salazar brought home that had beauty surpassing that of the fair folk with FUCKING DRAGON HORNS!

His previous humor instantly dropped as his hand fell onto his new goblin-forged sword, his eyes never leaving the being on top of the beast as he became very aware of the nauseating amount of darkness that clung to the being in front of him.

"What in damnations have you brought into our sanctuary Salazar!" he demanded as he drew his blade, his mount sensing his agitation screeched at Shiro in challenge.

Lucifer´s previous amusement at meeting the legendary Godric Gryffindor died as he now faced the man's sword, he stared back at the blond with his features frigid at the threat the man posed.

Salazar snapped out of his shock when he spotted his apprentice summon his wand in hand, the situation was quickly spiraling into an unsalvagable mess. This was why he wanted to explain the situation behind closed doors!

"Godric! calm yourself this instant, I can explain!" Salazar exclaimed as he brought out his own wand, all signs of the childish man gone as his features were set in stone.

Godric snorted "What is there to explain? you have brought something straight out of the muggle books! their greatest evil!"

Lucifer´s cold features shifted into a feral grin at being recognized as a devil by a man notorious for his lack of wits, he angled his wand towards the hippogriff, with a severing spark ready to be fueled to fell the creature.

"CEASE YOUR HOSTILITY TOWARDS MY APPRENTICE GODRIC, OR I SWEAR I WILL CUT YOU DOWN WHERE YOU STAND" Salazar roared in fury at his friend's recklessness, he could feel his apprentice preparing something he really didn't want to be launched in Godric's direction.

Godric´s handsome features shifted into slight hurt and confusion at his friend's threat before the words truly set in and he dropped his sword onto the ground, registering that he had just messed up.

Salazar let out a breath in relief as he saw his friend stand down, that relief was short-lived when a thunderous roar exploded from beside him. his head snapped towards his apprentice only to be met with a lion´s face twisted in complete and utter fury, its eyes locked onto godric with an intense focus.

"Apprentice! Calm your beast!" Salazar yelled in command, but his demand fell on deaf ears as he watched his apprentice staring at Godric with a cold smirk plastered on his face.

Godric himself gulped as he saw the look in Lucifer´s crimson eyes, the predatory glint in them made him really regret that he threw away his sword, and curse himself for leaving his wand back in his room.

"Such a warm greeting I have received from Lord Gryffindor, is this a privilege every guest receives upon graving your halls?" Lucifer´s words may have been melodious and soft-spoken, but they thundered in the ears of the two founders.

Godric almost visibly shrank in shame at the words, once again cursing his impulsiveness for creating unneeded enmity for him.

Lucifer stepped off Shiro, the impact of his new dragonhide boots impacting the dirt creating two deep footprints. His eyes roamed between Salazar and Godric as he started approaching the latter with a measured gait.

"But it is only proper to respond to such a polite greeting with one of my own!" He exclaimed with a sardonic smile playing at his lips, the distance between himself and Godric shortening as he now stood only a few feet from the mounted Godric.

Salazar would never have seen what happened next if not for a few vision-enhancing rituals he had performed a few years back in China, as he observed in shock as his apprentice fiercely grabbed hold of the large hippogriff's skull, smashing it down onto the wet dirt. he watched in stunned amazement as Lucifer followed up by grabbing onto Godric´s armor and yanking him off his saddle.

Godric gasped as Lucifer held him aloft in a way one would reminisce a father would a misbehaving child, sweat pouring down his neck as his ocean blue eyes met the crimson eyes of his assailant

"My name is Lucifer Le Maléfique, formally you may address me as Demon Lord." his voice lowered into a sibilant hiss as he continued "And if you ever point that toothpick in Shiro´s direction again?" He moved the man closer as his lips grazed the man's ear "I will hang you with your very own intestines, am. I. clear?"

His response came in Godric nodding his head repeatedly, with no intention of ever receiving that treatment.

Lucifer smiled in satisfaction as he dropped the Gryffindor Progenitor down onto the ground, said lord letting out a breath of relief as his feet felt purchase on the ground.

The tension in the air was broken by Godric as he nervously exclaimed "I like him!"

Salazar stared utterly dumbfounded at how his friend's mind worked, but also slightly proud of his student's strong introduction.

"Remind me to start your Oclummency training as soon as possible Lucifer" came the deadpan response from Salazar, he clarified as he saw Lucifers confusion "It will help you not scare the shit out of people like this in the future"

Godric´s nervousness faded as he observed Salazar´s fearsome apprentice pout at that! at the end of the day he was a simple man, he respected strength and didn't hold grudges.

so even though Lucifer gave of the darkest darkness he had ever felt, he showed clear strength and conviction when what he assumed was his familiar was threatened, and that was most definitely something Godric could respect.

Poor Pippy though, he sighed as his gaze moved to the unfortunate hippogriff whose head was buried in the dirt out cold.
