Chapter 22: The bad guys always win

Motto: If you play for the good side you sometimes lose as you have rules, morals and codes to follow where a bad guy don't; hence they always win

Then as we went in Joseph saw my face.

He then asked, "Did he contact you?"

"He wants a trade for Earl," I quickly told him.

Earl exhaled and said, "Franco is worth every dollar."

"Franco will kill her. And he is going to have a million man there," I quickly told them.

Cristina exhaled and said, "Then we beat him at his own game and killed him."

We went out and told Joseph everything we plan.

He then yelled, "Hell no!"

"My daughter is in the arms of a mad man because of your crazy ass prosecutor," replied an angrily Cristina.

I then got a text from Michael saying: We got her.

I replied: Proceed as plan. XXX."

He closed the trunk of his car as Sheila was restrained in it. I then stuck Joseph in his head with my gun and he dropped.

As he dropped Newell said, "This bastard murdered my men. So I am rolling."

I then left a text on Joseph's phone and Jackson brought down Earl.

Earl smiled and said, "I never taught I would be broken out of jail by my son."

I punched him in the face and he laughed.

"Here is the kicker. Marcus is my father," I told him and he swallowed.

They then got him and we left. Three minutes later Joseph woke up. He checks his phone to call the cops.

Then he saw the text saying:

He dialed and as the phone connected he said, "Listen to me. Nicholas is going to end Earl and Franco. So make your move now."

Moments later Cristina and I reached the cruise ship parking lot and got out.

I then held Earl and said, "Don't get any ideas Earl. I will shoot you."

My phone then vibrated.

I answered me saying, "I am in the parking lot."

Franco then said, "Come to the pier."

I took Earl from the back. Cristina then came out and clocked her Glock 9. We went to the pier and Jasmine was there with a bomb vest on her. Franco stood with a gun and the trigger. Cristina and I stopped, with Earl in the middle.

Two of Franco's men approached from behind and Cristina put the gun to his throat.

Then I said, "Anything happens me kill him. And then we blew up."

Franco held up his hand and his men stopped.

He then said, "You were always a great solider. But now a general is a general."

A helicopter then flew into the bay and hovered. The door opened and they held out Sheila. Michael held her out. Franco reached for his gun and his men were killed by Calvin. Garth and Jackson moved forward with Mac-10's.

I then pulled my gun and while holding it on him I said, "OK Franco. We will try this my way. Take the collar off my daughter or yours go for a dive in the bay.

He then punched in the code and Jasmine took off the vest. I then pushed Earl to Franco and Jasmine ran to Cristina.

Then I said, "I have waited for this day for 24 years. And here we are"

Cristina then said, "We are done Nicholas."

I then said, "Get down on your knees! Hands up."

They did it and as I cranked the gun an armed DEA SWAT team moved in. Garth and Jackson turned to them holding their guns. They took up defense positions and I took out my other gun. I held it on both of them.

Joseph got out of a car and yelled, "Stop Nicholas!"

As he came to me I said, "You can't stop him! He is a dangerous man. Earl will get off and Franco knows powerful people. He will get off. I can't."

Cristina then said, "Nicholas doesn't do this. Don't become them. Your mother gave you the money to run because she wanted you to have a chance. And see life without Earl's perspective."

I exhaled and said, "The law can't touch them."

"That's not true. Trust me that he will not go free. Honor your mother's memory," replied Joseph and I lowered my weapon.

The DEA quickly can and restrained Franco and Earl. Moments later the helicopter landed and they arrested Sheila.
