Lauren rose from the bed she lay on just a couple of minutes ago.

She looked out the window to the moon high in the sky.

It was a full moon tonight.

"Lauren are you okay?"

How did Xerno get here so quickly?

"Yeah." Lauren replies with a wry smile without averting her gaze from the moon.

"Sure about that?" Xerno sat besides his younger sister and joined her in admiring the moon.

"It's beautiful." Lauren smiled lightly as she glanced at her brother.

"It most certainly is sister" He adds wholeheartedly

He felt that the moon was a light in the darkness, an order in the chaos and without it most would have been taken by the lurking darkness.

Lauren spots something dash into the deep woods and immediately sprang up from her bed.

"What is it?" Xerno was already tensed from his sister's sudden change in behaviour.

"I think I saw a wolf outside camp."

Lauren was also extremely tensed as a frown grew on her face.

Wolves.

---

Lauren paced faster as her brother followed closely barely able to keep up with his sister's sudden increase in speed.

"Paw prints," Lauren crouched on the sandy soil tracing her fingers along the paw print the size of a human baby's head.

"It's indeed a wolf's…" Lauren studied the print with a frown.

"What in the…" Xerno eyes were fixed on a couple of trees which were heavily damaged.

"We should go back now," Lauren advised as she immediately came to a sudden halt.

Blood was on the trees and floor as claw marked some trees ruining their bark.

A high pitch howl was heard throughout the whole forest as Lauren and Xerno sensed danger arriving.

"Run!" Lauren yelled as she immediately took to her heels while her brother swiftly followed.

Lauren felt that they were being chased but had no time to even take a glimpse back as she sprints faster.

Xerno heard hungry growls behind them.

"Faster!" Xerno urged as he ran as fast as his body could handle.

The howls came closer as the siblings ran faster with every fiber of their body screaming danger to their mind.

The moon shone brightly above the heads of the siblings as a new found energy rose within them instantly curing their exhaustion.

"Holy!" Xerno pressed on feeling himself get faster and faster with every passing moment as a white light glowed in his eyes.

Lauren immediately grabbed her brother by his arm and ran forward.

Roar!

Wolves the size of a bull pursued them relentlessly pressing Xerno and Lauren to run faster than they ever had to.

A wolf running right besides Xerno attempts to bite off his leg but received a blow in the head knocking it out cold.

"How did you do that?" Lauren blurted out unconsciously completely dumbfounded by the insane strength her brother had just used on the huge wolf.

*Slash!

*Slash!

Wolf blood splattered everywhere as a man with a white with a scarf covering his face completely slashed through all the wolves.

Lauren and Xerno immediately paused in their tracks as the man began to speak.

"They'll just keep coming," He spoke in a muffled voice staring at the siblings with dark eyes.

"Who are they?" Lauren asked somewhat confused about the whole situation.

"Darkred's werewolves."

---

Lauren's father was smiling broadly after seeing to it that some of the ones after his children were now completely dead.

"Pitiful wolf pack." He frowned as he watched the body of a wolf as it shifts back to it's human form.

"Darkred's men," He kicked the body to the side with anger boiling within. "These foolish goons will never learn."

He walked ahead as he kicked aside every werewolf he came across.

A gust of wind blew past as the masked man appeared before Lauren's father with dark lustreless eyes staring at the former.

"Kane." The man called out to Lauren's father who swiftly snapped his head to the masked man's direction.

"Reiter, How are they doing now?" Kane asked with sincere concern in his eyes as he stared at the masked man.

Sigh.

"They're fine but there is a little problem."

Kane's face hardened as he prepared for the worst with a frown on his face and his eyes narrowed.

"Both of them are 'wolves' and the male is already manifesting loghtwolf traits." Reiter's voice was stern and serious as he continued, "They are indeed light wolves like you due to their scent."

Kane frowned as he contemplated on the the situation with his eyes lowered to the earth.

This was a very great news except of one bad possibility.

They may be targeted by the Dark alpha.
