78 Power

Navigating through the dense jungle, guided by the gleaming silver-white blood, they emerged onto a vast plain.

The once proud and pure white unicorn lay weakly on the muddy ground, its coat covered in dirty mud except for the silvery-white blood.

Luke followed the sight and couldn't help but widen his eyes.

Harry and Draco were both scared as well. They keep looking around nervously. On the other hand Hermione quickly covered her eyes, seeking refuge behind Luke.

"Oh, more prey..."

A hoarse voice, snake-like and chilling, echoed in the darkness, sending shivers down their spines as if they were being watched by a venomous serpent.

The sudden voice grabbed their attention.

On the other side of the unicorn, a mysterious figure concealed in a black robe brandished a wand, targeting the two.

"Oh, so Tommy is here too?" Luke thought.

It had been pitch dark just a moment ago, and Tom stood in a shadowy corner clad in a black robe. If one didn't look carefully, he would go unnoticed.

"Guy's run, he'll kill you!"

Harry shouted urgently towards Luke and the others.

Luke was resolute, aiming his wand at Quirrell, possessed by Voldemort.

"Do you want to duel me?"

There was a trace of mockery in the cold voice. Voldemort had just consumed the unicorn's blood, restoring some of his vitality.

Though Dumbledore might be beyond his reach, dealing with these young wizards posed no challenge for him at the moment.

"Avada Kedavra!"

Voldemort, with ample experience, took the lead. A green light shot from his wand, hurtling towards the group at breakneck speed.

"Pro.."

Hermione was ready to cast the spell, but Luke pulled her aside. The green light hit the ground, creating a small crater.

"The Protego can't withstand Avada's power..." Luke explained to Hermione.

Because the Killing Curse itself possessed irresistible characteristics, it could only be evaded through the cover of a physical entity.

After listening to Luke's whispered explanation, horror appeared on Hermione's face. Without Luke, she didn't dare to think about what might happen next.

Luke observed Quirrell, who seemed to have the ultimate move ready the moment he attacked, and sensed the other's anxiety. If he prolonged the situation, once Hagrid discovered what was happening here, Tom might not be able to escape.

"Crucio!" Quirrell's eyes widened, and under Voldemort's direction, he raised his hand to cast an unforgivable spell. This time, the target wasn't Luke but the little girl standing beside him who was visibly panicking.

Draco and Harry lying on the ground seemed unconscious because, just moments ago, seemed sacrificed himself to shield Harry from a crucio.

Harry, along with Draco, was affected, but these young wizards couldn't withstand such a curse. Even though Quirrell's spellcasting time was only two seconds, it was enough to immobilise them.

"Crucio!" Pulling Hermione behind a tree trunk, Luke didn't hesitate to return the spell to Quirrell. Hermione, beside him, gaped in disbelief at her little boyfriend.

"How could he know such a high level of black magic!?"

Both Voldemort and Hermione were thinking the same thing. Even Quirrell, who had spent a long time under Voldemort's guidance, struggled to learn three black magic spells. Yet, the boy in front of them—

"Get out of the way, you idiot!" Voldemort, hiding in the back of Quirrell's head, widened his eyes, using Quirrell's perspective to see the Crucio rushing towards him.

The three unforgivable curses could be dodged if one's reaction speed was fast enough. With Voldemort's hands-on teaching, Quirrell rolled aside in confusion. The bright moonlight illuminated the scene, and neither side could land a blow on the other.

"Try this—" Luke, realizing he couldn't hit Quirrell with conventional spells, reluctantly pocketed his second wand.

Under Hermione's astonished gaze, a circular golden magic circle, beautifully engraved with unknown runes, materialized out of thin air on Luke's palm.

Thunder and lightning converged, and after a brief moment, a dazzling Trident appeared in Luke's hand as lightning flashed.

"How?" Hermione muttered to herself from the side.

The light of Thunder Dragon Heavenward Halberd stood out in the dark Forbidden Forest, catching Quirrell's immediate attention.

"Master...Master, what kind of magic is that?" Quirrell was shocked and sought guidance from the knowledgeable Voldemort, but even Voldemort fell into silence.

Even the well-informed Voldemort was momentarily speechless. The splendid magic circle and the means of casting spells without a wand were entirely unfamiliar to him.

"Retreat!" After a moment of silence, Voldemort ordered Quirrell. His senses screamed that the oddly-shaped weapon wielded by Luke was dangerous.

Quirrell hastily prepared to use the apparition to escape.

But sadly apparition couldn't be used in Hogwarts, so Quirrell was trapped.

Luke's mouth twitched as he watched Quirrell pick up the wand and chant a spell. The Trident was hurled forcefully towards the opposite side, a golden light piercing the silent and dark woods.

"Come on, idiot!" Voldemort shouted anxiously.

"Yes, yes, yes!" Quirrell was sweating profusely, and the thunderous light made his pupils shrink to the size of pinpoints.

The thunder trident struck.

The deafening sound accompanied the sight of blood evaporating and dissipating in the thunder and lightning, under the watchful gaze of Luke.

A massive amount of dust rose, revealing a huge semi-circular deep pit in the ground, with tree trunks twisted with electric arcs.

Luke rubbed his sore wrist, observed the scene, and then closed the Sharingan.

Hermione's brown eyes glowed as she stared at Luke, not uttering a word. Meanwhile, Harry, supporting Draco on her back, fell into a stunned silence.

That display of power just now was simply too terrifying.

"Harry—"

A rough voice broke the ensuing silence.
