79 Knockturn Alley Turmoil

"Wait for me!"

Hagrid rushed over with an oil lamp in a panic, and Ron closely trailed behind him.

As the two arrived in the open space, they stood frozen for a moment.

The lifeless unicorn lay on the muddy ground, and not far away was a deep pit filled with tree debris, where Harry sat on the ground with Draco.

It was as if they had just experienced a frightful ordeal.

"By Merlin, what exactly happened here?"

Hagrid's lips quivered as he uttered these words in disbelief.

What forbidden forest creature could unleash such destructive power?

"Hagrid, let's check on Draco first!"

Luke squeezed Hermione's hand, realizing the need to stay focused.

The two approached Hagrid.

Draco had been clinging to Harry since the incident, and now he lay unconscious.

"Right, let's attend to Draco first!"

Harry snapped back to reality and swiftly lifted Draco.

Although he too felt the effects of the crucio, the pain had long vanished. However, Draco, who took the full brunt of the crucio curse on his behalf, was not faring well.

Harry carried Draco over to Hagrid's side.

Without Draco's intervention, he might have succumbed to Voldemort, who harbored a relentless desire to kill him.

Even when Harry transformed into a girl, the bond with Voldemort remained unbroken.

"Let's go, to the school infirmary."

Observing Malfoy's faint breathing, Hagrid turned and briskly carried her out of the Forbidden Forest, with the others following closely.

....

"Don't worry, the effects of the Curse won't last too long. It should recover after some time."

Madam Pomfrey placed a potion bottle on the table and reassured the group.

"That's a relief."

Dumbledore, who had come to inquire, let out a sigh of relief. He then turned to the quartet behind him. When he spotted Harry, he seemed visibly taken aback but refrained from asking any questions.

"But who would use the Unforgivable Curse in the Forbidden Forest?" Hagrid furrowed his brow.

Considering his years of patrolling the forbidden forest, he had never encountered such an attack before.

"It was a man in a black robe. Unfortunately, I didn't see what he looked like," Luke spoke quietly at this time. "However, when Hermione and I rushed over, he was drinking unicorn blood."

"Blood of unicorns?" Hagrid couldn't help shaking his tall body, clearly aware of the curse associated with unicorn blood. Dumbledore, clad in a plain white robe and pajamas, had a guess in his heart. He hadn't expected that survival would depend on unicorn blood.

"That man was driven away by the two of you?" Dumbledore's wise eyes turned to Luke and Hermione.

"Probably ran after hearing Hagrid's voice," Luke lied softly. It was the only plausible reason at present. As for the violence and the incredible power displayed, who would believe that a child could possess such abilities?

"Come on, Hagrid, let's go to the Forbidden Forest," Dumbledore said after a moment of contemplation and left with Hagrid.

"You four, go back to the dormitory and sleep," Dumbledore ordered before departing.

The next morning, owls flew from the blue sky into the Hogwarts auditorium one after another.

"My owl brought me a copy of the Daily Prophet," clever Hermione mentioned but didn't pry into what happened the previous night. Everyone had their own little secrets.

Harry looked at Luke with a hesitant expression. He wasn't sure whether he should ask about what happened yesterday, especially after witnessing the golden thunder light, which was quite shocking.

"You can't learn that magic spell it's tailor made for me," Luke said, taking a sip of milk chocolate and addressing Harry.

"What spell?" Ron asked curiously, having been fishing with Hagrid the previous night and unaware of what had occurred.

He had seen Draco lying on the ground with Harry in his arms, and his heart was filled with a complex mix of emotions—envy or jealous.

Harry was his best friend. He should be the one who should go on adventures with Harry, not Draco. Ron thought.

"Nothing," Harry shook his head vaguely.

"Did you really research on your own?" Hermione leaned over and whispered in his ear.

"Snape can research his spells, why can't I research Thunder Magic?" Luke responded. "Do you underestimate me?"

"No, no!" Hermione quickly broke free and sat back in her seat, picking up the "Daily Prophet" sent by her owl to read.

Because every morning felt so dull, she had subscribed to a weekly newspaper to delve deeper into the magical world.

Luke, curious, approached Hermione, a familiar scent tingling his nose. He couldn't resist resting his head on her shoulder. A pair of pale blue eyes followed Hermione as she read a report occupying the center of the newspaper.

"Wizards fighting in Knockturn Alley at night, and two buildings collapsed," she read out quietly.

Knockturn Alley? Wizard fight? Luke's curiosity grew, and he couldn't shake the feeling that the photo in the newspaper looked familiar. Wasn't that Borkin's store in the background?

At this moment, Luke realized something was amiss. Wasn't this the place where he was attacked by the werewolf last time? Did the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic investigate the scene?

Blowing away the brown curls that fell to the tip of his nose, Luke looked thoughtful. The Aurors couldn't find him; he never used a wand outside, and the tracer wire couldn't locate him.

"Don't blow your breath!" Hermione ripped Luke's head off in dissatisfaction and tidied up his disheveled hair. Her cheeks were a little flushed.

Meanwhile, Harry and Ronald, feeling a bit left out, were huddled together, bowing their heads and discussing what to do with Draco.
