The Journey To The New Territory

We headed off, I ran but I heard something behind me. I stoped short, Paw crashed into me. "We are going are own ways" I barked.

"But I don't want to leave you!" She whined.

"Fine, but if me or you smell any male loners, you go on the loners trail, got it?"

"Yes Elk!" She yipped.

4 Hours Later...

I smelt something, I rose my nose to the air, a male loner. "Paw, I found your path, if you fail with him, come back to this spot and follow my trail, other wise, the time has come for me to stop protecting you, you have found a mate. She nodded and followed the trail. I made sure to leave a strong trail wherever I went.

3 days later...

I smelt a female, a lone female! I ran after that path. I saw her, she is laying on the ground. Then I realize something is off, I walk to the front of her body, there is a huge hole in her chest, she is no longer in this world. I run at the sight of it.

Next Week...

I swear, I have walked over 100 miles. I see a mountain, it has elk and a stream! This, is my territory, if any females past through I will follow their scent, but this is my home.
