Daily Life (II)

I look around and nod to myself as I see my room, and the sky is blue instead of red. I successfully survive for two days in the instant dungeon by sniping the enemy from the window. When I get cornered is the time a group of zombies breaks the gate, trying to get me after I drop a bottle of water and create noise.

It was the most intense battle I ever had in the dungeon. Imagine a hundred zombies climbing at each other to reach you. It was terrifying. If not for my new weapon, I will be dead. The number of zombies that try to climb the wall by using their fellow zombies is reaching a hundred or more.

There is also something I learn in that fight. I can kill the zombie by using something heavy and drop it on top of them, but how you might ask. Well, the answer is simple: I use my inventory. I imagine the heavy object (Ie. Refrigerator) in my inventory appears above the zombie, and when the heavy object appears, it kills them immediately.

Sadly killing the enemy using this trick did not give me any XP, which is a shame. However, I still trick when I'm cornered.

From that hunt, I got a few points in all my stats except LCK.

I got a huge boost in VIT and INT because of how much I get bitten by the zombie and how much I bless my equipment.

With the increase in my physical stats, I can see the change in my body. My body is still big, but it was not as big as before. I also can feel my body begin to develop a muscle.

As my INT points increased, I can begin to recall any event that happened in my past life when I was ten years old. I can recall when I was nine years old, but only some of them, unlike the time when I was ten years old. I can also recall all the memories of Ryobe in his ten years old and not only my previous life.

My XP also increased by a good amount. I only need to kill more than nine thousand zombies, no big deal, right?

In that hunt, I also learned that Zombies gave me more XP if their level was higher. On the second day in the Dungeon, I encounter level three zombies, standing alone in the middle of the park and successfully kill it. It gave me thirty TP and three XP.

Anyway, I walk downstairs and begin to buy the ingredients for my breakfast. I used forty points to buy all ingredients from fish to condiments. I have planned to use this ingredient for tomorrow's hunt.

For breakfast today, I want something simple. A bowl of rice, grilled fish, and miso soup. It is simple and delicious.

After eating my breakfast, I walk to the bathroom and begin to prepare for going to school.

I look at all the documents in front of me and ignore the teacher. I ask my father to gather some information for me.

Homura Ryobe.

The only child of Homura Eiji and Homura Yuna. Homura Eiji is the CEO of a medium-sized technology company while his wife, Homura Yuna, is a Doctor at the biggest hospital in Tokyo.

Ryobe became an introvert after his sixth grade. The informant thinks that Ryobe decided that his parents' attention is a waste of time after trying his hardest to gain their approval and attention.

Ryobe has a grandpa that is still alive and well in the village called Hinohara, somewhere in a rural place in Tokyo.

Homura Ryobe, the man that has more mana than me and has a higher quality of mana than even my father, doesn't have any supernatural background.

That is really fascinating.

Not only does he have more mana than me, but his mana also increases. I look to my side and use my spiritual eyes and see his mana increase by a good amount. Not double the amount of his mana, but it increased none the less.

The quality of its mana also increased by a little bit. Before, his mana was like thick water. Now it feels like honey. It is thick and pure. It is like seeing a mana stone inside the body of a monster inside the dungeon.

I want to know about this, Ryobe, but my father ordered me to take care of the Youkai quickly. After finishing my job, I will try and reach him. Maybe he knows more magic than me, and he can teach me some of it.

The feeling of being watched by someone is back, but this time, the culprit did not even hide like before.

The culprit is the new transfer student, Akagawa Yuna. The newly crowned princess of the school. You could say that she is the teacher and student beloved. She is kind, cheerful, smart, and by the look of her phone and the car that picked her up from school, she is pretty rich.

However, I create a distance between her and me because I know that there is something wrong with her when I see her status.

She is three times stronger than an average adult in terms of physical status. While my INT is higher than her by a good amount, her physical status is higher than me by a large margin. She can kill me with her hand; that is why I ignore her. I don't want to be crushed with her hand when I offend her without knowing.

There is also her job as Onmyouji. The only thing I know about Onmyouji is that it was an equivalent of Magician, but it focused on Ying and Yang.

Which means she has more skill than me. I don't know if magic is packed inside one skill, or it was separate.

Anyway, I walk inside my house and begin preparing some food for dinner. However, This time I cooked a large amount of food for tomorrow's hunt. While MRE is good, it doesn't taste that good for me.

From the previous hunt, I also completed a hidden quest.

I need to defeat the mini-boss in the dungeon by the look of it, and by the sound of it, the boss that I will face in this dungeon is a Lich or something like that. I know that I'm not ready to fight this mini-boss. Not only is my HP only a little bit higher than an average adult, but my STR point is only two points higher than your average adult.

I think I can go to the Mini-Boss area after I reach level two, but for now, hunting level one and two zombies are enough. I will try to level up this week, and next week I will try to go to the mini-boss area.

But for now, it is time for gacha. I open up the shop menu and go to the Gacha section and press the spin button.

A few seconds later, I see my reward.

I grab my head in pain as a sudden rush of knowledge invades my brain. It showed me how to use this ritual, which weapon is used in this ritual, and how effective it is to the enemy.

This skill is used against an enemy with an 'evil' nature like Zombie, Demon, or Ghost. Every creature with an 'evil' nature will receive a huge amount of damage from this ritual. Even though they are not evil in their behavior, they still receive the same amount of damage as the other 'evil' creature.

This ritual did not see their behavior but rather their nature. Even if the demon has a saint's behavior, it still causes the same damage as the one that behaved like the mainstream demon.

This skill also does massive damage to a spiritual creature like Wraith or Ghost.

The weapon needed for this ritual is called the Black Key. Black Key takes the form of long and slender rapier-like swords with blades measuring over one meter and extremely short hilts, looking more likely to be used to thrust than slash at the opponent.

Weighing one kilo, they are too thick and oddly-balanced, feeling heavier towards the tip, to use as melee weapons in general, and they seem more like Dirks made into swords or arrows even to someone who does not know of their true nature.

With low effectiveness as swords despite their appearance and their great length, their true usage is exclusive as throwing weapons likened to bullets rather than swordplay.

This weapon can be used as the substitute for a magic circle that needs to be drawn by holy water. This has low physical damage, but it has massive bonus damage to 'evil' creatures and spiritual creatures.

I nod at the skill that I just got. I can use this when I fight against the mini-boss and the dungeon's last boss, but this skill cannot be used against a common mob. It can still be used against a common mob, but it will be wasteful, as this ritual takes time to cast.

Anyway, I walk to my workout room and prepare to train my body to increase my physical stats.
